Role Description We're seeking a Texas-licensed psychiatrist to serve as a Collaborating Physician for our Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) prescribing controlled substances in our Texas network. This is a hands-on compliance and patient care role with a flexible part-time schedule. Core Responsibilities - Credentialing & Privileging - Complete formal credentialing process (education, licensure, DEA registration, work history verification) - Obtain EMR privileges to authorize and oversee controlled substance prescribing - Ensure DEA compliance and patient safety protocols - Direct Patient Engagement - Meet with patients during initial visits to establish physician-patient relationship - Review and validate initial treatment plans before APP assumes primary management - Legal Delegation & Compliance - Execute and maintain formal Prescriptive Authority Agreements (PAA) with each APP (APRN or PA) - Register delegation of prescriptive authority with Texas Medical Board (TMB) - Ensure DEA registration alignment for controlled substance prescribing - Conduct and document periodic chart reviews - Hold required meetings with APPs to ensure safe, legal, and compliant prescribing practices Qualifications - MD or DO degree - Active, unrestricted Texas medical license - Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry - Active DEA registration - Not excluded from federal health care programs - Strong understanding of Texas prescriptive authority delegation requirements - Experience with controlled substance prescribing compliance Preferred Qualifications - Experience supervising or collaborating with APPs (APRNs, PAs) - Familiarity with behavioral health EMR systems - Experience in FQHC, RHC, or community health settings - Background in addiction psychiatry or integrated behavioral health Compensation & Benefits - Position type: 1099 independent contractor - Rate: $250/hour - Professional liability insurance provided ($1M/$3M coverage) - Flexible scheduling - Remote work options available for chart review and administrative duties Location & Schedule - Location: Texas - Schedule: Flexible part-time, with some required in-person initial patient visits - Remote work: Chart reviews, meetings, and administrative work can be done remotely What We Offer - Meaningful work expanding mental health access in underserved communities - Flexible, part-time structure compatible with other clinical work - Administrative support for credentialing, documentation, and compliance - Collaborative team environment - Opportunity to mentor and support APPs in their clinical practice

About the role We are seeking an experienced, patient-centered telehealth Physician to join our growing virtual care platform in a full-time capacity. This role is fully remote and will provide comprehensive medical care across weight management, men’s health, and urgent care service lines. The ideal candidate holds multiple active U.S. state medical licenses, is comfortable practicing across jurisdictions, and is willing and qualified to serve as a Collaborating/Supervising Physician for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) in accordance with state regulations. This position includes a blend of synchronous (live video/phone) and asynchronous (store-and-forward, messaging-based) care delivery, with an emphasis on high-quality, compliant, and efficient virtual care. Key Responsibilities Payer Participation & Credentialing - Provide care to patients covered by commercial and government payers (including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid, where permitted) - Willingness to enroll, credential, and re-credential with payer plans across multiple states as required - Collaborate with internal credentialing teams to maintain active payer participation and compliance Clinical Care - Provide high-quality telehealth services through synchronous and asynchronous encounters - Diagnose, treat, and manage patients across the following service lines: - Weight Management (including obesity medicine, metabolic health, and lifestyle counseling) - Men’s Health (e.g., testosterone therapy, erectile dysfunction, hair loss, sexual health) - Urgent Care (low-acuity conditions appropriate for telehealth) - Prescribe medications safely and appropriately in compliance with federal and state laws - Document all patient interactions accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) - Escalate care appropriately when in-person evaluation or emergency care is required Collaboration & Supervision - Serve as a Collaborating/Supervising Physician for Nurse Practitioners, as required by state law - Review NP charts, prescriptions, and clinical decisions per regulatory and organizational standards - Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and case consultation to NPs - Participate in required collaborative practice agreement (CPA) meetings, audits, and documentation Quality & Compliance - Maintain compliance with all applicable state-specific scope of practice, supervision, and telehealth regulations - Follow clinical protocols, evidence-based guidelines, and company policies - Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and clinical improvement initiatives - Stay current on telehealth best practices and regulatory changes across licensed states
