Role Description This is a senior engineering position that offers a variety of interesting and challenging opportunities in structural engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity to advance your career. You will collaborate with a team of structural engineers, interface with engineers from other disciplines, and guide the work of less experienced project team members. - Work with a structural engineering team on engineering projects for new nuclear facilities and upgrades and modifications to nuclear power plants. - Directly apply your knowledge of materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design. - Prepare and review design calculations, develop specifications, and support designers with drawing development. - Guide others in the development of engineering deliverables. - Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations using state-of-the-art computer tools. - Potential travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs. Qualifications - BS degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. - Seven or more years of experience working as a member of a project team in the design and analysis of structures. - Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS. - Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Valued, but not required: MSCE degree, experience with design and analysis of power plant and/or industrial structures, on-site construction support experience, PE or SE license. Job Requirements

Role Description Reports to: Manager/Senior Civil Engineer Manages: N/A Works closely with: Clients, EORs, Suppliers, Business Development, Estimating, Project Managers, Field Operations, and Procurement Responsibilities and Accountabilities - Support the delivery of civil design packages from early design through IFC, ensuring alignment with the project Scope of Work, Basis of Design, schedule, budget, and constructability requirements. - Independently develop and coordinate portions of 10%, 30%, 60%, and 90% civil design packages, including site layout, grading, drainage, erosion and sediment control, access roads, and equipment pads. - Review and interpret geotechnical reports to identify civil design impacts, risks, and required clarifications, and coordinate findings with senior engineers and project teams. - Support both Engineer-of-Record (EOR)–led and in-house civil design efforts by preparing, coordinating, and updating civil deliverables. - Coordinate civil design activities with survey, geotechnical, environmental, electrical, structural, HV, BESS, and construction teams to ensure a complete and well-coordinated design. - Prepare and respond to RFIs, support design clarifications, and assist with addressing constructability issues during design development. - Support permitting and AHJ submittals, including preparation of civil plans, exhibits, calculations, and responses to agency comments. - Perform QA/QC reviews of assigned civil sheets and calculations prior to submission. - Identify and communicate cost, schedule, and constructability risks, and contribute to value engineering and design optimization efforts. - Support project teams during the construction phase, including design clarifications and coordination as needed.
