Senior Software Engineer As a Senior Software Engineer at Lob, you’ll have deep familiarity with your team’s domain and take ownership of key components within Lob’s software systems. As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll… - Contribute to the development of supply chain and logistics solutions. - Own the design and implementation of medium-sized features or services with guidance from staff engineers or technical leads. - Participate in debugging and improving production systems to ensure reliability and performance. - Collaborate with engineers to evaluate tradeoffs, propose solutions, and deliver well-scoped changes . - Collaborate with product and business partners to understand the problems we’re trying to solve. - Provide thoughtful code reviews and help maintain a high engineering bar across the team. - Write documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. What will you bring to this role… - 4-6 years of experience building production software with Node.js/TypeScript. - Experience with data stores including Redis and relational databases (e.g., Postgres, MySQL), and comfort choosing the right tool for the job. - Experience working with job-queueing systems, such as SQS, Kafka, Kinesis, etc, is a plus. - Experience building or operating services in a cloud environment (AWS or similar). - Experience working with APIs, either through the integration with external APIs or the development of internal APIs. - Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests that run in CI pipelines. - Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g Cursor, Claude, or similar). - Experience building or supporting systems that render user-facing output (e.g., web UIs, templates, or generated artifacts) is nice to have. - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical partners. Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience managing Enterprise or Upper Mid-Market AE teams in a B2B environment.
  • Prior experience as an AE, with a proven track record of consistent success, such as President’s Club or over-achievement of goals.
  • Technical Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Gong, and the MEDDICC framework within complex sales cycles.
  • Strategic Leadership: Strengths in building pipelines, forecasting, managing activity, and helping teams close complex deals.
  • Core Attributes: A leader with grit, a strong work ethic, and high integrity who can navigate fast-paced environments.
  • Logistics or Direct Mail experience is a significant plus, though not mandatory.
  • Flexibility: This is a 100% remote role, with expected travel of approximately 20-25%.
