This is a paid freelance, remote position. ScreenRant, CBR, and Polygon are looking for a PR Specialist – Original Content to join our team! Together, these three brands represent some of the most trusted and widely read voices in entertainment, pop culture, and gaming media. We're looking for a dynamic PR professional to amplify our original content and strengthen our presence across the entertainment industry. Responsibilities - Serve as the primary point of contact for talent booking across all original content series for ScreenRant, CBR, and Polygon. - Build and maintain strong relationships with publicists, talent managers, studio PR teams and network contacts to secure high-profile guests for original content. - Proactively pitch our original series to talent representatives, positioning ScreenRant, CBR, and Polygon as must-do stops for cast, creators, and talent doing press runs. - Plan and coordinate guest bookings well in advance around film/TV release schedules, gaming launches and awards cycles. - Negotiate and manage talent appearances, coordinating logistics with production and editorial teams to ensure smooth experiences. Original Content PR Strategy - Develop and execute PR strategies specifically designed to grow the reach and prestige of our original YouTube series across all three brands. - Identify and pursue opportunities for original series to be featured, mentioned, or promoted by studios, networks, and talent on their own channels. - Ensure all embargo agreements and studio guidelines are strictly adhered to in collaboration with production teams. Studio & Industry Relationships - Cultivate and maintain relationships with PR contacts across film, TV and gaming to ensure ongoing access for original content needs. - Ensure access from all relevant studios and projects across entertainment, gaming, and comics for interview and appearance opportunities. - Establish and grow a network of publicist and studio contacts who prioritize our brands for talent availability during press cycles. Brand Monitoring & Distribution - Monitor the online conversation surrounding our brands and original content series, ensuring ScreenRant, CBR, and Polygon remain prominent voices in their respective spaces. - Track performance and visibility of original series, flagging opportunities to increase reach through talent, partnerships, or PR pushes. - Coordinate with social and video teams to maximize promotion of original content and guest appearances across X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube. - Create and manage a distribution list of industry contacts, influencers, and colleagues to amplify major original content releases and guest features.
