This role is responsible for managing Dataverse environments, security models, governance policies, integrations, and operational health across development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering Dataverse in a structured enterprise environment and will ensure security, compliance, and performance best practices are consistently followed. This position will also support the migration of legacy Microsoft Access solutions into modern Power Platform and Dataverse-based applications. Responsibilities - Administer and maintain Microsoft Dataverse environments across Development, Test, and Production - Configure and maintain Dataverse security architecture to ensure least-privilege access and compliance with organizational policies - Manage and deploy solutions (managed and unmanaged) and coordinate environment promotions using established ALM practices - Implement and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and platform governance standards - Monitor environment capacity and storage utilization including Database, File, and Log storage - Support the design and maintenance of Dataverse tables including relationships, choice fields, calculated columns, rollup columns, and alternate keys - Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues involving: Power Automate workflows, Business Rules, Plug-ins, Security permission conflicts - Support integrations between Dataverse and Microsoft Power Platform services including: Power Apps (Model-Driven and Canvas Apps), Power Automate, and Power BI - Support migration of legacy Microsoft Access databases to Dataverse, including data modeling, schema refactoring, and conversion to Power Apps solutions - Monitor system performance and support operational health of the platform - Maintain documentation of environment configurations, governance policies, and operational procedures Required Qualifications - Experience administering Microsoft Dataverse environments across development, testing, and production - Strong understanding of Dataverse security architecture, including: Business Units, Security Roles, Teams, Field-Level Security, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) - Experience managing Solutions (Managed and Unmanaged) and coordinating deployments across environments - Familiarity with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) processes within Microsoft Power Platform - Experience configuring and enforcing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies - Experience monitoring and managing Dataverse environment capacity and storage usage - Hands-on experience designing and maintaining Dataverse tables including: Relationships, Choice fields, Calculated and rollup columns, Alternate keys - Experience troubleshooting Power Platform issues including workflow failures, plug-ins, business rules, and security conflicts - Experience supporting integrations between Dataverse and Power Platform applications - Experience migrating Microsoft Access databases to Dataverse and refactoring legacy data models - Ability to document environment configurations and maintain governance standards Preferred Qualifications - Experience designing enterprise-level data models in Dataverse - Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Power Platform Deployment Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or GitHub - Experience deploying or administering the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Starter Kit - Experience integrating Dataverse with external REST APIs or enterprise systems - Experience implementing auditing, retention policies, and compliance monitoring - Experience operating in regulated cloud environments such as: - Government Community Cloud (GCC) - Government Community Cloud High (GCC High) - Experience with Dataverse performance optimization and storage management Schedule: Remote, USA Salary: 90k+ to align with experience and education Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Job Requirements
- BS degree in Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Business Intelligence, Business Administration or Finance, Statistics, or Management Information Systems
- 6 or more years of experience with: Analyzing use cases and high-level requirements to define lower-level requirements sufficient to design and implement data solutions
- Analyzing and refining enterprise metrics and business rules in coordination with stakeholders, and identify associated data needs and sources
- Establishing and refreshing data architectures/models, data standards, data transformations, and data integrations
- Designing, building, publishing, refreshing, and enhancing references that define terms, metrics, business rules, and the like for transparency to business analysts and other consumers
- 5 years of experience supporting corporate operations functions with data management and analysis
- 3 years of experience in the areas of data management, data analysis, and data visualization
- 3 years Business Intelligence experience in designing and building dashboards, reporting solutions, and data integration using the SAP Business Objects 3.1 (or newer) reporting suite
- Experience in designing multiple data visualization techniques and applying the most appropriate visualization tailored to different audiences
- Experiences related to project planning, recommending timelines and milestones, and identifying risk areas; working and consulting with cross-functional teams in the delivery of a product or service; developing analytical models in spreadsheets and using presentation tools to facilitate communication with stakeholders
