Role Description The Reliability Analyst reports directly to the DOM and is responsible for monitoring the overall health of the aircraft fleet and providing data-driven recommendations designed to improve the reliability of the fleet. The Reliability Analyst communicates findings and fleet reliability improvement initiatives to company leadership, CASS membership, and the FAA. The Reliability Analyst is a key member of the technical support team and one of the primary enablers to identifying root causes of aircraft out of service time. Dissection of down time drivers allows the fleet service representatives to focus their efforts and prioritize sections of the aircraft that are affecting maintenance availability. Additionally, the Reliability Analyst creates transparency to daily issues / AOG events. Duties and Responsibilities: - Collect, review, and analyze maintenance data from systems such as CAMP, Power BI, and other reliability databases. - Monitor and track AOGs, unscheduled maintenance events, and repetitive discrepancies to identify patterns or systemic issues. - Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings, and fleet reliability improvement initiatives to leadership, stakeholders, CASS membership and the FAA. - Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reliability reviews at both the tail-number and fleet level highlighting opportunities to improve fleet health. - Investigate component and system failures; provide data-driven recommendations designed to reduce repeat discrepancies, minimize downtime, and improve fleet availability. - Support reliability programs by monitoring trends, preparing reliability meeting materials, and contributing to corrective action plans. - Collaborate with Maintenance Control, Technical Services, and Operations to implement initiatives that have direct impact on KPIs as developed by the company. - Ensure compliance with FAA regulatory requirements and company reliability program standards. - Support audits, inspections, and reporting requirements related to aircraft reliability. - Continuously refine data analysis methods and contribute to process improvement within the reliability program. Qualifications - A Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Operations, or an Aviation‑related discipline is preferred; however, applicants without a degree may qualify with current, relevant, and credible aviation experience — preferably in aircraft maintenance/reliability — or in management, operations, or a closely related aviation discipline. - At least 4 years of maintenance analysis and/or Part 145, 135 facility or military equivalent experience desired. - At least 3 years of professional aviation experience desired. - Self-directed, self-aware, highly organized and detailed. - Exceptional customer service skills. - Ability to liaise and coordinate with departments both inside and outside the Technical Support function, as well as with external vendors. - Strong work ethic. - Strong communication skills. - Flexible, adapting to change and changing priorities. - Ability to multi-task and successfully track and manage multiple, disparate projects and associated items. - Ability to lead and facilitate complex meetings with numerous stakeholders. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Very analytical and data driven. - Experience with Avianis, CAMP, Corridor, ADP, Salesforce.com, and NetSuite desired. Requirements - Strong curiosity and a willingness to ask the hard “why?” questions to understand issues deeply and challenge assumptions in a professional, respectful way. - Experience working cross‑functionally with Maintenance, Operations, Technical Services, Dispatch, Scheduling, or other aviation departments. - Confidence leading discussions or meetings, including presenting findings to leadership or facilitating conversations with multiple stakeholders. - A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, follow up, and drive tasks or investigations forward without being prompted. - Comfort digging into problems beyond surface level, whether through data review, conversations, or operational insights. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, or PowerPoint, especially building reports, organizing information, or summarizing trends. - Experience identifying trends or operational patterns, even if through informal methods or internal knowledge rather than formal data tools. - Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, especially when presenting complex issues in a simple, actionable way. - Familiarity with reliability, maintenance operations, or aircraft systems (formal or informal), especially within a Part 135 environment. - Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple departments, levels, and personality types. Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - Ability to speak and hear clearly, both in person and via phone or video communication. - Occasional ability to stand, walk, bend, or reach as role responsibilities may require. - Periodic travel may be required based on business needs.
