Role Description Wayne County’s Department of Information Technology is seeking a Software Engineer III to support and enhance the County’s enterprise reporting environment. This role focuses heavily on Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), Oracle Autonomous Database, and Oracle Data Integrator, ensuring stability, performance, and highly effective reporting capabilities across OAC, HCM, and ERP environments. You’ll join the Enterprise Applications Development team and serve as a subject matter expert for the County’s reporting and data integration needs. Key Responsibilities - Serve as SME for reporting needs related to Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Data Integrator. - Coordinate change and release activities for enterprise reporting platforms. - Use Git and DevOps tools within Agile development practices. - Collaborate with departments to understand reporting requirements and integrate them into roadmaps. - Develop new reports and enhance existing reporting capabilities. - Write scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Batch, Perl, or Python. - Maintain reporting documentation, operational runbooks, and incident playbooks. - Support security and audit teams with compliance remediation and reporting. - Partner with vendors on SaaS solutions to maintain operational excellence. - Manage the daily ticketing queue and ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests. - Support project deliverables and provide escalation-level issue resolution. Role Description LMI is seeking a skilled Forward Deployed Engineer in the Washington, DC region to join one of our Modeling & Simulation customer development teams. Successful Forward Deployed Engineers demonstrate competency in integrating advanced technologies into existing business processes, building new functionality, ensuring successful software development, analysis, or deployments, and working closely with customers. This role requires a combination of technical skills, strong communication, and the ability to quickly turn ideas into production caliber code. This role will work as part of the Sales Engineering team and engage directly with customers on-site, in a hybrid format, or remotely, as required by each customer including the potential for occasional short-term travel to customer locations across the United States. This is a 100% remote role with quarterly travel for in person team planning and collaboration events. This position requires an active DoD Secret clearance. You must be a U.S. citizen. Responsibilities - Design, implement, and maintain analytical models within our M&S capability called RAPTR. - Perform testing and validation of models and code to ensure accurate outputs. - Perform operations research analyses with RAPTR to answer client questions and recommend efficient courses of action. - Participate in client meetings to understand requirements and to brief your technical findings and analyses. - Collaborate with other RAPTR software engineers, modelers, and analysts to optimize performance for large-scale simulations. - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure system reliability and availability. - Troubleshoot issues across cloud infrastructure, networks, and simulation workloads. - Stay current with advances in cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance RAPTR capabilities. Qualifications - Active DoD Secret security clearance. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, ORSA, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience). - 5+ years in performing complex data analytics such as building AI/ML models, or physics-based models. - Previous experience with modeling and simulation (M&S) tools. - Experience with briefing and engaging with DoD customers. - Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Desired Qualifications - Experience supporting modeling and simulation platforms or compute-intensive applications. - Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). - Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. - Knowledge of DoD cloud security requirements (IL4/IL5, FedRAMP, CMMC). - Experience working in Agile development teams.

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket pipelines, focused on working in a DevOps model and toolsets, to maximize application development teams’ efficiency and productivity • Build, maintain, and operate infrastructure and services in Azure cloud and on-prem (VMWare) using automation and infrastructure as code practices • Create custom solutions, written in Python, Java, or JavaScript, for integrating monitoring, developing and managing platform integrations, and managing cloud platforms • Responsible for the full software development lifecycle of a project including design, development, unit testing, system testing and change management • Integrate new products and solutions into existing environment for continuous improvement • Work with end users to define business requirements for new projects as well as supporting existing processes • Develop leadership skills to navigate project execution through all phases of the standard software development lifecycle
