Job Description As a compactor technician, you will play a vital role in the maintenance and repair of compactors and balers used for waste management, big box store and multi-tenant facilities Your expertise will ensure that these machines are operating efficiently and effectively, helping to reduce waste and protect the environment. This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to diagnose and repair trash compactors, including electrical and hydraulic components. This role can also include site repairs such as bailers, tarps and chutes. When there isn’t enough sitework, you may be asked to work in the shop on assembling power units or other mechanical or welding tasks. The standard hours are 6:00-3:30 with overtime and on-call required. This is a REMOTE opportunity, you will not be required to report to an office but will be dispatched to calls from your home. About the Position Department: Service Reports to: General Manager Supervises: None Purpose The Regional Field Technician independently performs diagnostics and repairs on equipment at customer locations within an assigned territory, using a mobile service vehicle. As an on-site representative of the dealership, the technician provides reliable service solutions and maintains professional, clear communication with customers to explain the work being performed.
