Cloud Engineer
SHI International Corp.
• Collaborating with account teams to understand customer cloud environments through review and evaluation of cloud technologies, consumption, implementations, and processes • Designing and proposing cloud solutions that meet customers' business objectives • Collaborating with sales teams to drive the solution, including making recommendations and aligning the next steps for a sale • Strengthening technical relationships with OEMs, strategic and emerging partners, and key cloud partners • Educating sales teams on cloud solution selling and key technologies through various forms of training • Conducting product training and positioning for the sales team and customers • Implementing and thoroughly documenting cloud solutions and related technologies, including network design, security architecture, governance best practices, and connectivity • Serving as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops • Developing technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations on public cloud platforms • Ensuring security is integrated into all cloud solutions
Job Requirements
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Extensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platforms
- The ability to understand and utilize cloud computing technologies, including virtualization, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models, to implement and manage scalable cloud solutions
- The ability to understand and manage various infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security) and use orchestration tools to develop comprehensive technical solutions
- The ability to design, implement, and support multi-tier applications and cloud-based architectures to meet organizational needs
- Proficient in migrating workloads to the Public Cloud and managing them efficiently.
- Ability to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer Events.
