Job Description

Financial Analyst

• Assist in the accurate and timely calculation of sales commissions for various sales teams, adhering to established commission plans. • Support the review of commission data, identifying and investigating variances or discrepancies. • Collaborate with the Sales and HR teams to understand commission plan structures and data sources. • Prepare and post accurate payroll-related journal entries (e.g., wages, taxes, benefits, accruals) into the general ledger. • Work closely with the Payroll team to ensure the proper recording of all payroll expenses and liabilities. • Assist in the reconciliation of payroll-related general ledger accounts. • Perform timely and accurate reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts, such as cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accrued liabilities. • Investigate and resolve reconciling items efficiently, working with cross-functional teams as needed. • Ensure all reconciliations are properly documented and supported. • Contribute to the month-end and year-end close processes. • Assist with ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required. • Support audit requests by providing accurate documentation and explanations.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field - recent graduate.
  • Strong foundational understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas).
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • A collaborative spirit and a positive attitude, with a desire to work as part of a team.
  • Have internship experience in an accounting or finance department.
  • Have familiarity with general ledger systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
