Role Description The Associate Director of Billing Production Operations is a senior operational leader responsible for overseeing charge entry & payment posting. This role is accountable for production throughput, accuracy, and cash acceleration while building scalable workflows, staffing models, and controls to support long-term growth. The Associate Director partners closely with Clinical Operations, Coding, Credentialing, Contracting, IT, and Finance to ensure end-to-end revenue integrity and timely cash realization. This is a remote role. We are only hiring in the following states: - AZ - CA - NM - NV - OR - TX - WA What you will do: - Charge entry & production oversight, own end-to-end charge entry operations across all service lines. - Ensure timely, accurate posting of charges from all source systems. - Establish and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly production benchmarks by clinic, provider, and service line. - Implement charge reconciliation controls to ensure 100% capture of billable services. - Oversee all normal payment posting operations including ERA, EFT, lockbox, manual posting, and patient payments. - Ensure accurate posting of contractual adjustments, denials, refunds, and recoupments. - Develop payment posting QA processes to minimize posting errors and credit balance creation. - Collaborate with Finance to support monthly AR balancing, cash reporting, and reconciliation. - Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, or related field. - 8-12+ years with direct oversight of production-based teams. - 5+ years in a leadership role managing managers and supervisors. - Strong experience in pain management, workers comp, or procedural-based specialties. - Demonstrated success leading billing insourcing or large-scale RCM transformations. - Strong knowledge of CPT billing. - Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills. - Experience with multiple EHR/Practice Management systems (IMS, Nextgen, Athena, eClinicalWorks or similar). - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and solid skills in other Microsoft Office applications.
