Role Description Review and coach site leadership on management of daily operations and staff, including reporting. Monitor processes and budgets to identify opportunity to reduce waste and increase efficiency. Responsibilities - Effectively communicate Company’s beliefs throughout the organization. - Promote culture of quality workmanship in the field. - Promote and communicate the Company quality policies and procedures. - Develop and enhance operational policies and procedures for maximizing safety, performance and profitability. - Participate and/or lead problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. - Monitor key metrics and develop operational strategies for profitability. - Develop crew and equipment planners with the Project Management Team. - Manage budget and coordinate materials to ensure ongoing operations are equipped and staffed. - Establish, communicate, and evaluate progress towards field goals and benchmarks. - Resolve all issues and concerns relating to field office operations. - Work with Project Management Team on salary, allowances, payments, etc. - Develop best practices and standard tools to use to continuously improve operational efficiency. - Streamline all field office operational, functional and administrative systems and ensure they are in compliance with local laws and regulations. - Develop workforce plan with Project Management Team for each project to include the general labor needs, supervisors, site management and equipment necessary for each project, as well as identify key employees and training needs that can be tied to SMART goals. - Monitor and manage field office expenses with assigned budget. - Ensure timely preparation and submission of required field reporting. - Coach management on equipment planners to ensure accountability for equipment. - Oversee HR related procedures including recruitment, promotions, transfers, termination and salary negotiations. - Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations and drive closure of accompanying action items. - Provide feedback and performance related discussions to staff. Training - Participate in Performance Evaluations and processing of all ESRs, Wage Changes and Manpower requests. - Evaluate, train, mentor all field supervision. Supervisory Responsibilities - Complete performance evaluations for direct reports. - Cross-train staff to be able to move between industrial, civil, power, oil and gas, etc. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in quality, industrial technology, business management, construction, science or related major or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Strong civil experience within EPC or similar construction project environments, previous experience in Construction Manager job titles is preferred. - Experience working with craft construction crews and construction managers. - Solar construction project experience preferred. - Supervisory experience preferred. - ASQ or Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
