• Routing Engineering: Design and implement advanced BGP policies (Path Selection, Community strings, Filtering) to optimize multihoming and peering traffic across multiple IXPs. • MPLS and VPNs: Design, configure, and maintain the MPLS core, including LDP/RSVP-TE and deployment of L3 VPN services (VRF) and L2VPNs (VPLS/VPWS) for enterprise customers. • Optimization and QoS: Perform Traffic Engineering (TE) using RSVP-TE to ensure deterministic paths and apply QoS policies (DiffServ over MPLS) to prioritize critical services (Voice and Video). • Resilience: Implement high-availability and fast-convergence mechanisms such as BFD (Bidirectional Forwarding Detection) and MPLS FRR (Fast Reroute) to meet stringent SLAs (five nines). • Edge Technologies: Manage edge routers (Provider Edge - PE) and CGN (Carrier-Grade NAT) solutions, and design IPv6 transition strategies (Dual Stack or DS-Lite). • Level 3 Troubleshooting: Lead resolution of complex incidents involving packet loss, microbursts, high latency, and protocol failures (BGP session flapping, OSPF/IS-IS adjacency issues).

POSITION OVERVIEW: Primarily responsible for the engineering, installation, configuration, security, performance, maintenance, monitoring, and support of our ADC load-balancing environment, with secondary responsibilities in typical networking areas. This is a fulltime, exempt position. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL PRIMARILY: - Support our Application Delivery Controller (ADC) load-balancing environment as a dedicated member of the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team. - Deliver ADC solutions as needed to further the integration of the IAM program throughout the technology landscape. IN THIS ROLE, YOU COULD ALSO SECONDARILY: - Engineer, configure, implement, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, upgrade, patch, and secure network infrastructure components. - In collaboration with our MSP, troubleshoot and resolve networking infrastructure and equipment problems, including configuration, hardware, and software problems, in a timely and effective manner. - Rack and install equipment in datacenters and colo-facilities. - Collaborate and coordinate with telecommunications providers, vendors, and partners. - Use Visio to create and maintain detailed network drawings at the ISO Layers 1, 2, & 3 level. - Participate in change management meetings. - Recommend upgrades, enhancements, and other technology-debt remediation efforts. - Drive Technology Services Lifecycle Management activities related to vulnerability and configuration management. - Create SOPs, plans, and other documentation to aid with knowledge transfer to other engineers. - Serve as network technology SME and 3rd level escalation support for other engineers, teams, and business personnel. - Teach, train, and mentor peers and colleagues on network infrastructure principles and practices. - Make difficult decisions under pressure, balancing the need to gather detailed information and perform analysis, with the need for timeliness. - Participates in and promotes co-operative working relationships across organizations including knowledge sharing and partnership in achieving solutions. - Stay abreast of changes in the IT networking industry. - May be required to work onsite, and during off-hour maintenance windows. - May be required to provide off hours support including nights and weekends. TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED: - Must be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship (ie. must be a US citizen or Greencard holder) - 8-10 years of professional experience in IT network engineering and operations. - Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with industry-leading ADC platforms including load-balancing capabilities, script programming, access policy development, and other associated policy development. - Understanding of LAN and WAN technologies, protocols, and designs. - Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus routing and switching platforms, including IOS, IOS-XE, and NX-OS operating systems, and common HA and redundancy features. - Experience with Cisco ACI fabrics and infrastructure. - Experience with Aruba Wireless Networking. - Experience with Citrix NetScaler VPN. - Experience with Infoblox grids. - Experience with common LAN/WAN routing protocols including (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and others) - Familiarity with Cloud based networking in Azure. - Familiarity with Linux and Windows Operating Systems - Familiarity with foundational enterprise technologies such as DNS, DHCP, PKI, LDAP, Syslog, and Monitoring systems. The Network Engineer III is responsible for meeting/exceeding daily and weekly performance targets while actively contributing to the development of automated tooling and standardized design practices that reduce the level of effort for wavelength delivery. NOTE: The team is open to this role working in a remote capacity within the United States.
