Regional Development Manager, C&I Turnkey Systems

Canadian Solar Inc.

• Drive sales and business development initiatives for C&I BESS and turnkey solar + storage solutions across North America. • Identify and secure new business opportunities by leveraging industry relationships and market insights. • Build and sustain strong relationships with customers, partners, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms, developers, and consultants. • Lead customer negotiations and facilitate the development of commercial agreements in collaboration with legal, technical, and commercial teams. • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and pricing strategies tailored to client needs. • Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting to ensure alignment with business objectives. • Develop a comprehensive understanding of market trends, customer needs, and policy drivers influencing C&I PV & Storage. • Represent the company at industry events, customer visits, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility and engagement. • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support the successful delivery of projects and foster long-term relationships. • Travel across North America as required (approximately 30–40% of the time).

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or project development within the renewable energy, solar, BESS, EPC, or electrical infrastructure sectors.
  • Proven track record of successfully selling technical or turnkey solutions to commercial and industrial customer segments.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and negotiating commercial agreements effectively.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling and ROI/investment analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment while meeting revenue targets.
