• Lead and mentor a team of 5 BI professionals, fostering a culture of ownership, strategic thinking, and continuous improvement. • Build, evolve, and maintain our analytics engineering standards and products including our data model repository and self-service analytics infrastructure to maximize usability and data trust. • Ensure BI systems follow engineering best practices, including SDLC, version control, CI/CD, and production readiness, and serve as an escalation point for data correctness or reliability issues. • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Operations, Marketing, and Finance to understand business needs and deliver scalable BI solutions. • Drive adoption of data tools and insights by championing user enablement and intuitive data experiences. • Provide hands-on guidance and technical oversight for complex analytical challenges, ensuring data product accuracy, efficiency, and performance. • Translate complex data and technical concepts into clear, actionable narratives to inform leadership decision-making. • Guide your team in prioritizing and sizing analytical work for speed and impact, ensuring rigorous scoping of all BI initiatives. • Promote data governance and best practices to ensure data quality, compliance, and integrity across all outputs.

• Use Power Query to expertly clean, transform, and shape raw data into analysis-ready formats. Ensure high data integrity by writing efficient, scalable, and translatable Power Query (M) code. • Combine datasets by merging queries, in both Model View and Power Query, using helper keys to maintain accuracy and avoid null values. • Create and fine-tune complex DAX measures for calculations such as percentages, weighted averages, revenue projections, and others based on stakeholder requirements. • Design cohesive and insightful Power BI visuals tailored to different stakeholders, ensuring clear, actionable reports. • Skillfully create visual elements such as matrix visuals, stacked column charts, and multi-row cards, and optimize filters in order of business importance. • Build and leverage Power BI dataflows to integrate external data sources (e.g., Excel sheets) into the model and dashboards. • Establish live connections to data stored in OneDrive or SharePoint for real-time updates, eliminating reliance on static, outdated datasets.

• Administer, develop, and maintain Google Looker: User administration, models, dashboards, user attributes LookML development, dashboard design, visualizations. • Build simple/complex Looks, merge queries, and tune performance. • Create and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. • Develop and maintain SQL Server objects and logic: T-SQL, views, CTEs, functions, stored procedures. • Perform data analysis and validation: Analyze data for quality/completeness, validate data marts and dashboards against source systems, implement and document business rules and processes. • Create and execute test cases for data and reporting requirements. • Troubleshoot data, dashboards, and reporting issues; respond to investigation requests. • Elicit and document requirements for data marts, dashboards, and reporting. • Create technical and end-user documentation; train users on Looker capabilities and best practices. • Apply appropriate handling of sensitive data, including recognizing and masking PII. • Take on team leadership activities as needed (mentoring, task assignment, code reviews, prioritization).

Role Description We are currently seeking a Power BI developer to join our team in Remote, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India. - Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources. - Create and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and transformation in large-scale environments. - Build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. - Implement data modeling best practices for Power BI, ensuring accurate and performant analytics. - Monitor and troubleshoot ETL workflows, resolving issues promptly to maintain data integrity. - Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards across all processes. - Perform performance tuning for ETL jobs and SQL queries to meet SLA requirements. - Document ETL processes, data flows, and reporting logic for transparency and maintainability. - Support production deployments and provide on-call assistance during the 2 PM–11 PM IST shift. Qualifications - Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced joins, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures. - Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques. - Proficiency in ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalent platforms. - Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas). - Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices. - Ability to troubleshoot and optimize ETL workflows for performance and reliability. - Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a 2 PM–11 PM IST shift. - Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Dataflows Gen2) is a strong plus.
