Role Description This assignment posting is for an Agency Worker opportunity with People Inc. The Agency Worker is paid by a staffing agency employer. Agency Workers will receive a W2 from the staffing agency reporting their earnings for tax purposes. Travel + Leisure is looking for a writer who will write and update travel-related product roundups and reviews. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is passionate about travel. This person will report to an editor and join a talented team that collaborates closely with various departments: News and Deals, Editorial, Social, Growth, Production, etc. Assignment Details: - 40 hours a week - Start date: Late April - End date: Approximately 5 months - Hourly Rate: $35 - Location: Remote - US Assignment Responsibilities: - Regularly write and update travel-related product roundups and reviews for Travel + Leisure, maintaining high-quality standards along the way - Find and interview expert sources to provide background information and quotes for our lists and reviews - Research and write supplemental content like factors to consider, pros/cons, FAQs, and more - Use SEO tools, knowledge of the brand, competitor research, and market research to identify content improvements or adjustments - Research new products, models, and trends to make sure we’re making the best recommendations to our readers - Assist in our testing process, whether evaluating and photographing products at home, writing up results, attending lab testing days, or gathering insights from testers or experts - Contribute news and deals content during tentpole events and as needed Qualifications - Knowledge of the travel space and enthusiasm for shopping and finding the best products out there to enhance a trip - Detail-oriented and deadline-focused with solid writing skills, as well as a basic understanding of what works on the web - Strong writer, capable of creating engaging, lively headlines and blurbs, all the while keeping the Travel + Leisure voice, values, and style in mind - Self-starter who can pivot seamlessly as new initiatives and directives are identified Company Description As a top travel media brand in the world, Travel + Leisure's mission is to inform and inspire passionate travelers, like you.
