• Provides technical support on decisions and priorities regarding the enterprise’s overall systems architecture • Creates and implements standards and guidelines for technical solutions • Installs, configures and maintains Operating systems, systems software and systems utilities • Leads the group in developing and defining the standard for software installation, configuration and maintenance • Researches new software solutions • Assesses, recommends, defines, designs and maintains complex hardware configurations • Gathers, organizes and analyzes capacity & performance data • Identifies alternatives and recommends the best course of action • Presents findings and recommendations to appropriate management level • Provides Tier III software and hardware support • Implements complex changes to satisfy service requests • Researches, responds and recommends to complex user questions as needed • Provides complete documentation for software and hardware installations
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or another related field is required
- Master’s degree desirable
- 10 or more years of experience as a Senior OS/390 or Senior CICS Systems Programmer, Senior UNIX Administrator, or Senior WebSphere Administrator.
