Role Description South Project is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering young moms through mentorship, resources, and community support. We are seeking a Volunteer Program & Policy Coordinator to help structure and support our growing volunteer team. This foundational volunteer role will focus on building out our program—creating clear policies, streamlining onboarding, and supporting both virtual and in-person volunteers. If you love systems, value people, and enjoy building processes from the ground up, this is a unique opportunity to make a real impact in a flexible, purpose-driven environment. - Develop and implement volunteer policies and procedures for both virtual and event-based roles. - Create a Volunteer Handbook, onboarding materials, and waiver forms. - Maintain volunteer role descriptions and applications. - Manage volunteer communication and scheduling tools. - Coordinate onboarding, training, and check-ins for new volunteers. - Support in-person volunteer logistics during occasional South Project events (preferred if local). - Track and maintain volunteer records, hours, and engagement metrics. - Help foster a culture of belonging, recognition, and accountability among volunteers. Time Commitment: Flexible, remote role. Estimated 3-5 hours per week. Qualifications - Passion for community, empowerment, and organizational impact. - Strong organizational and written communication skills. - Experience in volunteer coordination, HR, nonprofit operations, or administration a plus. - Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Mailchimp, Slack, or CRMs. - Self-starter with the ability to work independently and remotely. - Based in or near Richmond, TX (preferred but not required). - Bonus: Experience developing policies, handbooks, or SOPs.

• Lead complex, cross-functional technical and product programs using a context-driven approach grounded in Fanatics Betting & Gaming’s strategic goals and desired outcomes. • Develop, communicate, and execute data-driven program strategies, operating models, and roadmaps to address technical program management needs. • Build strong, inclusive relationships with internal stakeholders, both within and outside of Engineering, and collaborate with leaders to prioritize technical efforts while providing input on program features and capabilities. • Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices across engineering disciplines. • Be open to occasional travel to Fanatics Betting & Gaming offices and other locations for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building activities, fostering connections across diverse teams.

• Own and drive the end-to-end execution of large, complex technical programs • Work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership to define program scope and objectives • Implement, refine, and champion lightweight program management best practices • Proactively identify, prioritize, and mitigate program risks and dependencies • Serve as the central communication hub, providing regular status updates • Facilitate effective decision-making and alignment among diverse teams

• Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables in an agile environment. Develop comprehensive project plans, including sprint plans and release schedules, using Jira as the primary project & program management tool. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while adhering to agile principles. Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, proactively implementing mitigation strategies and tracking progress in Jira. • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, ensuring alignment with architectural principles and best practices within an agile framework. Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making, resolving conflicts and driving consensus in sprint planning and review meetings. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to inform project strategies and optimize Jira utilization. • Communication and Stakeholder Management: Foster transparent communication with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and issues through Jira dashboards and reports. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring satisfaction with the agile process and Jira transparency. Prepare and present project reports to senior management, articulating project status and outcomes, using Jira data for informed decision-making. • Team Management: Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing agile environment. Mentor and coach team members on agile principles and Jira best practices, promoting continuous learning and development. Manage project resources, ensuring optimal utilization and productivity while adhering to agile resource allocation principles. • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine agile project management processes, identifying opportunities for improvement within the Jira framework. Contribute to the development and implementation of project management best practices and Jira customizations to enhance team efficiency.
