Senior Full-Stack Engineer
SynMax
• System Architecture: Design scalable near-real-time data streams, integrating data from multiple sources into analytics pipelines and relational databases. • Data Management and Access Optimization: Improve robustness and performance of our SQL DB setup to facilitate high performance inserts of our data streams and API reads for our customers • Data Visualization: Ensure vast quantities of geospatial and tabular data are visually explorable in a reproducible, performant format. • Accelerate Development: Utilize AI coding agents to assist in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and help establish best practices for agentic workflows. • Cross-Functional Support: Work alongside software engineers and data scientists, providing programming and infrastructure support for MLOps and data science initiatives. • Technical Direction: Help shape our engineering direction by implementing robust data management practices and staying current on emerging technologies in data processing. • Ensure Code Quality: Refactor, profile, and optimize codebases. Implement rigorous integration testing, debugging, and deployment automation for cloud microservices.
Job Requirements
- Work Authorization: Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
- Location/Timezone: Must be located and working within Central Time (CT) or Eastern Time (ET) zones (no West Coast/Pacific Time).
- Education: BS degree in a STEM field.
- Experience: 4+ years in a full-stack software engineering role, with a strong focus on data engineering.
- Cloud Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in modern Cloud Systems (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
- Core Languages: Production-grade proficiency in Python and TypeScript.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth understanding of software engineering best practices, performant frontend interfaces, relational database design/optimization, and scalable API design.
- AI Workflows: Experience with (or a strong, demonstrated interest in) adapting the SDLC for AI-assisted development.
- Communication: Strong communication and coordination skills tailored for a distributed team environment spanning US and UK.

• Configure, maintain, and enhance assigned areas of the Degreed Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and Saba Learning Management System (LMS), supporting reliable and scalable learning delivery across the organization. • Design and implement learning solutions such as courses, curricula, and learning pathways based on clearly defined requirements and organizational priorities. • Execute course assignments, learning campaigns, and automated enrollments, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and a positive learner experience. • Act as a knowledgeable contributor and advisor on learning platform capabilities, identifying usability improvements and opportunities to increase learner engagement within your scope of responsibility. • Collaborate closely with HR Operations, Talent Development, and business stakeholders to translate learning needs into effective, technology‑enabled solutions. • Independently manage requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and deployment for moderately complex platform enhancements, escalating risks or dependencies as needed. • Build and maintain standard and ad‑hoc reports and dashboards to track adoption, engagement, and learning outcomes, supporting data‑informed decision‑making. • Apply automation, analytics, and emerging platform capabilities to improve efficiency and personalization, following established governance and best practices. • Support platform stability by troubleshooting issues, investigating root causes, and contributing to timely resolution of incidents. • Contribute as an engaged team member by sharing knowledge, documenting solutions, and supporting peers through collaboration and mentorship by example.
