We are seeking a seeking a Data Migration Specialist to join our team supporting the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the implementation of a mission-critical collaboration and content management platform. The ideal candidate will focus on the migration of complex data sets from legacy SharePoint environments into a modern Drupal-based platform, designing and implementing migration scripts, validating migrated datasets, and ensuring accurate transfer of content, metadata, permissions, and relationships across multiple mission, user, and administrative data domains. This is a remote position. In this position, you can expect to: - Design and execute data migration strategies for SharePoint content, lists, libraries, and associated metadata into Drupal-based systems. - Develop and maintain automated migration scripts and ETL processes to extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data. - Migrate complex SharePoint artifacts including: - Document libraries and file structures - Metadata and taxonomy structures - Lists and relational data - User permissions and security group mappings - Workflow-related data - Perform data validation and reconciliation activities to confirm completeness, accuracy, and integrity of migrated data. - Develop scripts and automation for pre-migration data preparation, including metadata normalization, permission mapping, and content restructuring. - Work with technical teams to define Drupal data structures, schemas, and content types to properly receive migrated information. - Implement migration processes that preserve content ownership, permissions, and role-based access controls. - Conduct test migrations, pilot migrations, and production migration waves with full auditability. - Support troubleshooting and remediation of migration issues including data conflicts, missing metadata, or permission discrepancies. - Document migration procedures, mapping rules, validation approaches, and operational runbooks. - Collaborate with system administrators, DevOps engineers, and developers to integrate migration tooling into the broader CI/CD and platform modernization pipeline. - Support user acceptance testing and post-migration validation. Preferred Experience and Qualifications: - Strong experience performing enterprise data migrations from SharePoint environments. - Experience migrating: - SharePoint document libraries - Lists and metadata - Permission models - Site collections and collaboration content - Experience with data transformation and scripting, including tools such as: - PowerShell - SQL - Python or similar scripting languages - Experience with migration tooling such as ShareGate, Metalogix, DocAve, or similar platforms. - Experience developing custom migration or automation scripts for SharePoint administration and migration processes. - Experience working with metadata schemas, taxonomy structures, and content organization strategies within enterprise platforms. - Strong understanding of identity, permissions, and access control models. - Experience performing data validation, reconciliation, and migration verification. - Ability to troubleshoot migration issues and resolve complex data transformation problems. - Experience migrating content from SharePoint to Drupal or other modern CMS platforms. - Familiarity with SharePoint and Drupal content architecture, entities, and taxonomy structures. - Experience supporting large-scale modernization or platform migration programs. - Experience working within federal or regulated environments. - Experience integrating migration activities with DevOps pipelines and infrastructure automation. - Familiarity with: - AWS cloud environments - Data mapping and transformation frameworks - Content lifecycle and document governance - Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, or enterprise platform migration. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. - Experience supporting enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, CMS systems, or document management platforms. - Existing or recent DHS clearance strongly preferred. • Serve as the initial technical point of contact for the migration of our enterprise data platform into Google Cloud Lakehouse. • Take point on the initial cloud implementation and Medallion architecture. • Share knowledge and establish best practices for HL7/Google Cloud implementations. • Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting and transformation technologies. • Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines using custom-tooling (Python/Google) and off-the shelf tooling with focus on monitoring, supportability, and resource stewardship. • Contribute to and leverage coding standards and best practices to ensure efficient and re-usable services and components. • Architect, implement and deploy new data models and data processes in production. • Build data pipelines which acquire, cleanse, transform and publish data from a wide variety of sources. • Assemble large, complex data sets which meets functional and non-functional business requirements. • Partner with data asset managers, architects, and development leads to ensure technical solution provides data which is fit for use and in line with architecture blueprints. • Identify, document, design, and implement internal process improvements.

Working closely with a data architect and technical lead, the Integration Engineer I serves as a point of contact for all iPaaS platforms and integrations within Aledade Enterprise Systems. Working both independently and collaboratively with other team members, they are able to implement data integration solutions to meet Aledade business needs. Primary Duties - Self organized with work assignments, attending daily stand up meetings providing status updates and demonstrating ability to raise potential roadblocks and propose potential solutions when they arise. - Ability to interpret requirements and architectural design in order to implement and test solutions to meet business needs. - Drives simple level complexity integration solutions independently while collaborating closely with other team members on medium to higher complexity designs and solutions. - Able to communicate and understand technical and business workflow concepts of a moderate scope.
