Job Description
Manager, Sales-Mid-Market (Exol)
Exol
Who we are With its A.I.-powered robotic technology platform, Symbotic is changing the way consumer goods move through the supply chain. Intelligent software orchestrates advanced robots in a high-density, end-to-end system – reinventing warehouse automation for increased efficiency, speed and flexibility. As the Manager, Sales at Exol, you are a pure "hunter." You will own the full sales cycle for the mid-market segment—from cold prospecting and aggressive lead generation to the final signed contract. There is no account management or post-sale hand-holding here; your mission is to find, qualify, and close. Targeting an annual revenue goal of $10M, you will be responsible for building a robust pipeline from scratch. You’ll run disciplined discovery sessions and secure multi-year agreements with high-growth brands looking to revolutionize their operations with Exol’s fulfillment solutions. Exol* is pioneering fulfillment-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as CPG, food and beverage, wholesale, and retail. *Exol is an independently managed joint venture between Symbotic and Softbank. What we do The Sales Team is part of the Commercial organization, which is responsible for developing, negotiating, and executing contracts with customers. What you’ll do - Build net-new pipeline from scratch within the mid-market segment — cold outreach, event prospecting, referral development, and targeted campaign follow-up — working toward a $10M annual revenue target. - Own the complete sales cycle from first contact through signed agreement, managing VP and Director-level Supply Chain and Operations buyers through a discovery-to-close process. - Conduct disciplined discovery to understand customer operational pain points, fulfillment economics, and automation readiness — translating findings into tailored Exol proposals. - Manage a high-velocity pipeline of deals across multiple simultaneous opportunities, maintaining rigorous CRM hygiene and accurate forecast data at all times. - Negotiate and close multi-year agreements, working with Legal and Customer Solutions to ensure deal terms are commercially sound and operationally executable. - Identify and act on emerging market signals — new brand launches, distribution expansions, fulfillment outsourcing decisions — to open conversations before competitors do. - Represent Exol at relevant industry events, trade shows, and digital channels to build brand awareness and generate new pipeline opportunities. What you'll need - Bachelor’s degree required. - Minimum 8 years of B2B sales experience with a clear record of full-cycle, net-new business hunting — not account growth or post-sale management. - Demonstrated ability to close deals in the $250K–$5M range — must be able to speak to specific wins and how you drove urgency to close. - Experience selling to mid-market companies in CPG, Food & Beverage, retail, or related industries preferred. - Strong CRM discipline is accurate, well-staged, and never a surprise. - Logistics, supply chain, or material handling experience is a plus but not required — intellectual curiosity and drive to master a complex product matter more. - Position to be based and within driving distance to one of the following areas: Los Angeles (Perris, CA), Dallas (Wilmer, TX) , Chicago, ( Wilmington, IL), Atlanta (Jackson, GA), New Jersey (Morrisville, PA) Our Environment: - Up to 75% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. - The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis. #LI-TN1 #LI-NN1 #LI-Remote About Symbotic Symbotic is an automation technology leader reimagining the supply chain with its end-to-end, AI-powered robotic and software platform.
