Role Description GAI is seeking a Senior EIT 1 (transmission line) to join our Power Delivery team. Required skills include: - Transmission line design experience - Critical thinking - Problem-solving - Organization - Team focus - Eagerness to apply learned engineering principles to solve real-life problems The Senior EIT 1 is responsible for technical leadership and the successful delivery of transmission line designs while maintaining the scope, schedule, budget, and quality of projects within GAI’s Transmission Division. This individual should be technically focused and a strong leader with developed technical, communication, and computer skills. General Characteristics: - Develops broad knowledge and skills in a specific practice area. - Evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional projects with few complex features. - Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine aspects of assignments. - Applies principles of probability and statistics to determine risk relevant to engineering. Candidates with a minimum of 1-year of experience and knowledge in PLS-CADD are eligible for remote work. Candidates without PLS-CADD knowledge need to be based at any GAI office on-site or on a hybrid schedule. Qualifications - Minimum Years of Experience: 4+ - Education: B.S. or M.S. Engineering - Certification/Licensure: Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and obtained engineer-in-training (EIT) or engineering-intern (EI) certification. Requirements Technical Responsibilities: - Performs moderate design tasks. - Prepares portions of plans, specifications, and other project documents. - Performs research and field investigation. Project and Task Management: - Works as a part of a team and coordinates work with others. - Assists in determining schedule and budget requirements. Management Responsibility: - Receives instruction on specific objectives. - Receives direction on unconventional and/or complex problems and possible solutions. - Receives a thorough review of completed work for the application of sound professional judgment. - Receives mentorship from a licensed engineer typically in their specialty. • drive the design, development, and delivery of advanced power conversion systems for military applications across land, sea, and air platforms • partner directly with defense customers and shipbuilders to define requirements, manage technical execution, and lead multi-year programs from concept through qualification and sustainment • oversee a multidisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with MIL-SPEC requirements, and alignment with strategic defense objectives • translates customer needs into innovative, reliable power electronics solutions that strengthen U.S. and allied military readiness around the world

• Perform engineering analysis and project management functions for all aspects of DPC transmission line design • Design transmission lines, interconnections, conversions and switch installations in conformance with appropriate safety codes and design standards • Establish engineering design parameters and standards, and manage PLS-CADD model through project duration • Ensure regulatory compliance requirements for systems are met • Provide continuing technical support to other departments and customer • Prepare material lists and cost estimates for transmission line construction and relocation projects • Coordinate transmission engineering activities with Planning, Survey, Right-of-Way, Substation Design, and others • Assume total responsibility for special transmission line projects including engineering, material specification, and procurement

• Design, specify, evaluate, and coordinate the installation of protective relaying • Responsible for engineering and design of relay protection and control schemes • Provide engineering and design for metering of DPC’s transmission and distribution substations • Review and monitor system equipment condition • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other departments • Prepare engineering studies related to stray voltage, power quality, safety • Perform project management duties as required • May provide guidance to other engineers, coop students and summer students
