• Perform engineering analysis and project management functions for all aspects of DPC transmission line design • Design transmission lines, interconnections, conversions and switch installations in conformance with appropriate safety codes and design standards • Establish engineering design parameters and standards, and manage PLS-CADD model through project duration • Ensure regulatory compliance requirements for systems are met • Provide continuing technical support to other departments and customer • Prepare material lists and cost estimates for transmission line construction and relocation projects • Coordinate transmission engineering activities with Planning, Survey, Right-of-Way, Substation Design, and others • Assume total responsibility for special transmission line projects including engineering, material specification, and procurement

• Design, specify, evaluate, and coordinate the installation of protective relaying • Responsible for engineering and design of relay protection and control schemes • Provide engineering and design for metering of DPC’s transmission and distribution substations • Review and monitor system equipment condition • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other departments • Prepare engineering studies related to stray voltage, power quality, safety • Perform project management duties as required • May provide guidance to other engineers, coop students and summer students
