Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per session hour Job description: About Grace Community Care Grace Community Care is expanding its outpatient behavioral health services under NJ FamilyCare and Horizon NJ Health. Our mission is to provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and community-centered mental health care to individuals and families across New Jersey. As we integrate behavioral health services into our existing community support model, we are seeking licensed clinicians who are passionate about serving diverse and underserved populations. Position Overview The Licensed Outpatient Therapist will provide comprehensive behavioral health services to adults and families in outpatient and community-based settings. Clinicians will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver evidence-based therapy, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with NJ Medicaid and managed care standards. This is a fee-for-service (per-session) W2 position. Compensation Structure This role is compensated per completed clinical session. Compensation Range: $60–$65 per completed 45–60 minute session (based on license and experience) Full-time clinicians maintain a caseload of 28 weekly client sessions and work a combination of shifts, including four weekday shifts (10:30am–6:30pm or 11:30am–7:30pm) and one daytime shift (9:30am–5:30pm). Typical annual earning potential: Part-Time (15–18 sessions/week): Approx. $50,000–$65,000 annually Full-Time (25–28 sessions/week): Approx. $80,000–$100,000+ annually Caseload builds gradually over 3–6 months depending on availability and scheduling. No-shows are not compensated. Core Responsibilities Clinical Services - Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments - Develop individualized, measurable treatment plans - Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy - Deliver evidence-based interventions including: - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Trauma-informed therapy - Motivational Interviewing - Psychodynamic therapy - Behavioral interventions - Provide crisis intervention and safety planning as needed Documentation & Compliance - Maintain timely and accurate progress notes - Complete assessments and treatment plans per Medicaid guidelines - Utilize appropriate CPT and ICD-10 coding - Maintain compliance with HIPAA and NJ Medicaid standards - Use Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for documentation Care Coordination - Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams - Participate in case consultations as needed - Coordinate services with housing support and community providers - Support continuity of care across service settings Minimum Qualifications - Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related clinical field - Active New Jersey license: - LCSW - LPC - LAC - LSW - Active Type 1 NPI number (required) - NJ Medicaid enrollment (or willingness to enroll) - CAQH profile (or willingness to complete) - Professional liability insurance (required for 1099 contractors) - Strong understanding of HIPAA and clinical documentation standards Preferred Qualifications - Experience working with Medicaid or underserved populations - Experience with serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) - Trauma treatment experience - Experience in community-based or outpatient settings - Specialized certifications (EMDR, CBT, IFS, etc.) - Bilingual clinicians encouraged to apply Caseload Expectations - Part-Time: 15–18 sessions per week - Full-Time: 25–28 sessions per week - Flexible weekday scheduling (evening availability preferred) - Hybrid telehealth + limited in-office services Clinicians should expect gradual caseload growth during the first 3–6 months.
