About Us Cimento AI is revolutionizing cybersecurity training by using AI to build resilient, security-conscious teams. We're backed by operators and angels from Cloudflare, CrowdStrike, Okta, etc. We value creative spark over credentials and high agency over process. If you've shipped side projects, contributed to open source, or built things that matter to you, we want to talk. About The Role As a founding engineer, you won't just write code. You'll own entire systems, make architectural decisions that scale, and work directly with customers to turn their pain into product. This is a ground-floor opportunity to build something that matters alongside a small, high-trust team. We're looking for someone who generates ideas (not just code), treats AI as a tool for velocity (not a strategy), and ships instead of waiting on process. What You'll Do - Own and architect adaptive phishing simulations that use LLMs to evolve based on user risk, role, and behavior - Build infrastructure for ingesting and analyzing real-time behavioral signals like decision latency and user telemetry - Design interfaces that help security teams visualize and act on human risk data - Work directly with early customers to rapidly iterate, turning feedback into shipped features - Make foundational technical decisions: choosing tools, setting patterns, and building systems that scale - Ship clean, scalable, well-documented code across the full stack - Use AI tools to accelerate your workflow and focus on high-impact problems What We're Looking For - 3+ years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent - Strong fundamentals in computer science: data structures, algorithms, and system design - Proficiency in at least one of our core languages: Go or TypeScript - Track record of shipping products, features, or projects you built yourself - Excellent communication skills and a bias toward transparency - Genuine passion for building and comfort with ambiguity Bonus Points - Experience in cybersecurity, AI/ML, or enterprise software - Familiarity with our stack: Go, TypeScript, NextJS, Postgres/SQL, AWS, Cloudflare - Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude Code) - A portfolio that shows how you think: GitHub, blog, or personal projects What We Offer - Meaningful equity as an early team member - Competitive salary - Direct impact on product, customers, and company direction - A small team where your work is visible and valued

Nice to Have - Experience with Atlantis for Terraform automation. - Experience with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or FluxCD specifically. - Comfortable with Python-based backend systems—frameworks like Django, FastAPI, etc. - Experience with data ETLs, ideally with Airflow. - Enthusiasm for using AI-powered coding tools (e.g., ClaudeCode, GitHub Copilot) to improve development velocity and quality.
