• Preparation and/or review of more complex federal and state income tax returns. • Preparation of more complex consolidated book-tax differences for tax compliance. • Support or manage various tax audits or appeals. • Respond to all manners of tax notices. • Engage and contribute to department projects or initiatives. • Mentor and develop tax analysts.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of recent corporate tax or public accounting experience.
- Experience with tax software, preferably CorpTax.
- Experience with tax research software, preferably BNA, RIA or CCH.
- Understanding of accounting concepts and the application of those concepts to tax related issues.
- 3-5 years of corporate tax, public accounting or related experience.

Key Responsibilities Prepare individual and/or business tax returns in compliance with U.S. tax laws and regulations Review financial records and supporting tax documents for accuracy and completeness Perform light tax-related data entry and administrative support tasks Enter, review, and verify tax data accurately in internal systems Ensure compliance with IRS guidelines and internal quality standards Meet deadlines during high-volume tax periods Communicate clearly with internal teams regarding task status and documentation needs Requirements
• Organizing transaction data and compiling nexus information (with supervision). • Updating tax software and broadly overseeing the sales tax permit application process. • Communicating effectively with your clients. • Helping address any new needs or concerns that arise for clients to ensure a wonderful experience working with you. • Managing changes to existing client accounts in the areas outlined above. • Supporting existing clients and their Sale Tax Accountants for issues regarding tax settings, new platforms, permits, and offboarding. • Testing tax collection settings on sales platforms for new permit start or end dates. • Managing permit closure information and final billings for offboarding clients. • Being the primary point of contact for billing-related changes or issues for all clients. • Identifying and implementing improvements to the onboarding process for existing clients.
