Role Description The Sr. Software Engineer, Front-End will drive efforts and contribute to building high quality scalable front-end UI/UX features, mainly using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Involved in architectural design patterns and decisions to achieve our strategic product goals. Demonstrates deep technical domain knowledge and ownership of specific front-end product features end-to-end. A key strategic player in maintenance of product features, including on-call escalations, triaging, and resolution. - Drive delivery of the entire application development lifecycle of product features, including coding, debugging, architecture strategy, and product improvements - Lead code/design reviews to ensure smooth project execution and accurate planning - Ensure proper level of testing coverage across features and functions with a test first mindset - Collaborates across engineering, product, and design to gather and address technical and design requirements - Liaise with developers, designers, and product managers to identify new areas for improving product features - Mindset of learning and curiosity, including staying up to date with new technologies to constantly innovate our front-end platform - Build reusable code and libraries for future use - Provide documentation, coaching, training, and support to internal teams where needed - Enhance development tools and test coverage to improve the overall efficiency of our front-end platform - Accountable for overall application health and monitoring of our platform including escalating to proactively address customer facing issues - Own, troubleshoot, and drive client issues to resolution, including new and existing features - Participate in on-call rotation as part of a defined support structure - Conduct interviews with potential candidates - Optimize user experiences by considering performance, accessibility, and responsiveness in the development process Qualifications - At least 5 years of experience in software development or a related field - Strong programming skills in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript), with experience as a front-end developer - Strong programming skills in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) - In-depth understanding of the entire front-end feature development process (design, development, deployment, maintenance, and strategy) - Experience working with CI/CD frameworks - Experience with front-end A-B testing, test-driven development, and/or automation - Collaborative problem solving attitude and willing to take a variety of approaches - Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience providing technical input - Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, design and customers to build and maintain quality product features - Analytical and time management skills, with the ability to deliver value independently - Ability to participate in on-call rotation Requirements - Master’s degree in engineering, technology or related field (preferred) - Experience building products in micro frontend frameworks (preferred) - Experience analyzing metrics for micro frontend frameworks (preferred) - Experience working on a product with dynamic configuration and/or layout capabilities (preferred) - Experience migrating from one JavaScript framework to another (preferred) - Experience migrating from Vue 2 to Vue 3 (preferred) - Experience with AWS and/or Azure (preferred) - Experience with Gitlab (preferred) Benefits - Remote-first environment - Unlimited paid time off - 401(k) with employer match - Diverse and inclusive environment Company Description Alkami is a leading cloud-based digital banking solutions provider for financial institutions in the United States that helps clients to transform through retail and business banking, digital account opening and loan origination, payment fraud prevention, and data analytics and engagement solutions.
