The Opportunity: Avantor is looking for a high energy Region Sales Director to provide ongoing leadership, coaching, development, support and direction to the Region’s 7-10 Sales Representatives. The Region Director will ensure effective territory management and achievement of assigned sales, profit and expense goals while managing a $50+ million-dollar territory and is responsible for creating and implementing successful strategies to further penetrate and segment the market, consisting mainly of large, integrated and global clients. This diverse territory includes Education, Bio, Environmental, Medical, Food and Agricultural clients. What we’re looking for: - Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Biochemistry or equivalent work experience required. Master’s or PhD degree preferred. - 5-8+ years of Sales experience in medical or scientific products distribution-related business with a demonstrated track record of success and increasing responsibility. - Ability to understand financial sheets and how to leverage the contents. - Proven leadership experience - Experience in establishing high-level customer relationships. - Experience in account development and implementation. - Proactive and results-oriented individual with solid communication, organizational, time-management and negotiation skills. - Experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required, with preference for CRM experience. - Holder of a valid Driver's License in good standing. This is critical in facilitating change and reaction to market conditions. - Prepare sales and gross margin forecasts for region territories and analyzes and monitors sales data for the region. Ensure plan achievement by making appropriate gross margin adjustments to achieve sales and gross margin. Pay Transparency: The expected pre-tax pay for this position is $108,050.00 - $183,540.00 This reflects base salary. This position is subject to incentive compensation, where the expected pre-tax Target Cash Opportunity (“TCO”) for this position is based on the achieved sales and in the amount/range of, $154,400.00 - $262,200.00 Actual Pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and eligible geographic location.
