Program Overview RIVA Solutions supports the Department of the Interior (DOI), Financial Management Directorate (FMD), Accounting Operations Services and Operational Maintenance Support initiatives. This program enables the modernization, operational efficiency, and automation of DOI’s financial management processes across enterprise systems. The DOI FMD Accounting Operations Services program supports the Interior Business Center (IBC) and related financial operations by enhancing system performance, improving financial controls, ensuring compliance with federal financial management standards, and increasing operational efficiency through automation and process optimization. This work includes support for financial systems such as the Financial and Business Management System (FBMS), Oracle Federal Financials (OFF), and robotic process automation (RPA) platforms. The objective is to strengthen financial integrity, improve reporting accuracy, reduce manual processes, and enhance mission-critical accounting operations across DOI. Position Overview RIVA Solutions is seeking a Process Automation Analyst to support DOI FMD Accounting Operations through process analysis, automation development support, and system optimization initiatives. The selected candidate will assist in identifying automation opportunities, documenting business processes, and supporting the development and implementation of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to improve efficiency and system performance within federal financial operations. This position supports operational maintenance activities, process modernization, and automation efforts that enhance financial management effectiveness and system sustainability. Core Responsibilities - Provide technical and administrative support for process automation development initiatives. - Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and document existing financial business processes. - Shadow end-users and document workflows for automation feasibility. - Support analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation of automation tools. - Assist with configuration and support of RPA solutions using platforms such as UiPath. - Review work products for accuracy and adherence to design standards and user requirements. - Support system testing, validation, and deployment of automation solutions. - Assist in developing solution documentation, training materials, and user guidance. - Conduct business process improvement and productivity analyses. - Provide systems support for financial platforms including FBMS and Oracle Federal Financials (OFF). - Participate in troubleshooting and issue resolution related to automation and financial systems. - Support operational maintenance and system enhancement initiatives. Minimum Qualifications - U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance. - Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). - Minimum 2+ years of experience supporting process automation initiatives. - Minimum 2+ years of experience using UiPath or similar RPA tools. - Experience conducting business process analysis and documentation. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Experience supporting system testing and validation activities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
