Deliverables - Schedule and conduct comprehensive reference checks for the assigned cases in a timely manner. The number of reference checks are usually around 7 references per case, including a combination of referees, such as current/former supervisors, current/former peers, and current/former supervisees. - Prepare a comprehensive and confidential report detailing the feedback on each conducted reference check case and submit it to the People and Culture Manager/Chief, Senior Leadership Support Team. The report should cover, at a minimum, the overall summary of the findings, and detailed content of the feedback provided by the individual referees. - On average, a total of 5 days to schedule, conduct reference check and prepare a report after the case is assigned. Timing may vary depending on the complexity and urgency of the assignment. Payment Schedule - The LTA to be signed will have a fixed fee rate for three (3) years. However, UNICEF does not warrant that any quantity of services will be purchased during the term of the LTA as this will depend on forthcoming needs. Summary: As a YA Regional Consultant, you will provide high quality consulting services relating to property restoration, property defects, casualty, and losses of significance for YA’s customers, which include insurance companies, third-party adjusters and independent businesses and insureds. YA Regional Consultants are responsible for the management of each of our clients’ business and operations in defining and controlling costs associated with damaged structures. Regional Consultants are expected to use a large measure of independent judgement, considering, and weighing alternatives when appropriate, considering the financial and operational significance of the services being performed. Role & Responsibilities: - Conducts inspections and field assessments to evaluate structure and property damage for clients. - Reviews and synthesizes relevant information to prepare damage estimates, scopes and project reports. - Manages field work on large, multi-consultants’ projects. - Performs analysis of invoices, budgets, schedules, and reports on behalf of the clients. - Operates on behalf of clients to monitor and manage timelines, expenses, and other factors critical to operational efficiency and cost management during all phases of construction. - Communicates and corresponds regularly with clients, insurance companies, adjusters, and insureds. - Leads regular client meetings and supports business development initiatives. - Provides technical oversight and support and management to more junior consultants. - Maintains job files, documentation, and other relevant deliverables. - Manages and oversees clients’ interactions, supporting and mentoring junior consultants. - Provides quality control reviews of junior consultant work product prior to submission to the client. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - 7-10 years of relevant construction, restoration, project management or insurance experience - Advanced Xactimate experience required - WRT, FSRT, HAAG or other appropriate industry certificates or certifications - Ability to travel required Who We Are: YA is an international professional services organization providing forensic consulting, engineering, risk mitigation, and related services.
