Consulting and Training Services is a dynamic department that changes to meet customer needs. We are seeking flexible, creative and independent people to join us in shaping the future of library services! In the Consulting role, you will be responsible for communicating the key features and benefits of SirsiDynix’s suite of technology products to customers. You will also participate in delivery of consultation through in-person sessions, web-based distance learning, and conference calls. Additionally, you will be responsible for disseminating software expertise on features and setup to meet customer needs, as well as providing consultation on the migration process, workflows, and utilization of ILS technology to customers both in-person and remotely. Key Responsibilities - Serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of customers, conducting regular consulting sessions to answer software, workflow, and data questions. - Collaborate with customers to translate business and operational requirements into effective technical solutions. - Provide consultation on all SirsiDynix applications. Consulting may be delivered to customers on-site or through web-based software tools. - Provide consultation on migration processes, workflows, and utilization of ILS technology. - Analyze libraries' requests for custom solutions and prepare detailed specifications for the custom work delivered by Consulting Services. - Facilitate communication between SirsiDynix implementation teams (i.e. Consulting, Data Services, Product Delivery, Training, and Project Management) and SirsiDynix customers including interpretation and/or translation of verbal and written communications. - Travel as needed to conduct training and/or to provide consultation at customer sites. - Communicate with customers regularly and in a timely manner during the course of a project. - Participate in department in-service sessions and regular department meetings. - Participate in training for and review of software and documentation for new products and release updates. - Present a positive view of the company to customers. - Interact with other groups internally to ensure the customer has a positive experience. Work Environment - Fully remote position supporting customers worldwide. Frequent virtual meetings with customers and internal teams.
Job Requirements
