About This Opportunity As a Solution Architect in H2O.ai Professional Services team you will work closely with Technical teams on the Customer side and Product Engineering, Enterprise Support and Sales teams on the H2O side. This is a remote position based in New York. What You Will Do - Be the trusted solutions advisor for our customers and partners and deliver technical professional services to the customer. - Own and deliver services that include installation, configuration and integration of H2O Generative AI, Machine Learning, Model Management, and Cloud products in the customer environment/landscape. - Provide/gather customer feedback to work with the H2O.ai Engineering team for product improvements. - Translate business cases and requirements into value based technical solutions through the architecture of machine learning workflows and systems from data ingestion to model deployment. - Architect, design, and implement end to end Predictive and Generative AI Machine Learning and Data Science solutions that help customers realize the value of their investments in H2O.ai products and services. - Communicate effectively with a diverse audience of internal and external stakeholders consisting of: Engineers, business people, partners, executives. - Present at meetups and webinars in the Data Science community, and be an integral part of the Maker culture of creating the best products and solutions. What We Are Looking For - Bachelor’s or a higher education degree in Computer Science/Engineering - Minimum 5-6 years of experience with cloud computing/linux systems and architecting end to end data processing pipelines or data intensive enterprise solutions - Experience of working in a customer facing environment, providing technical services - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, English language). Additional languages a plus. - Amicable attitude. Aptitude to independently investigate and find solutions to technical problems; urge to learn/master new technologies. Maker mindset. How to Stand Out From the Crowd Kubernetes, Linux, and Cloud Architecture Skills - Excellent understanding of system engineering concepts and good command of working in a linux based environment (OS fundamentals etc). Ubuntu and CentoOS/RHEL mainly. - Excellent understanding and implementation experience of the cloud ecosystem i.e. what solutions exist on the 3 major clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) and when/how to use those components - Excellent understanding and implementation experience with containers and container based orchestration frameworks. Kubernetes (multiple distros like Openshift, and hosted solutions like AKS, EKS and GKE) must have. Virtualization knowledge (vmware. kvm) is a plus. - Good understanding and implementation/integration experience of LDAP, OAuth, OpenID, SSH, TLS, network connectivity, firewalls etc that are required in any enterprise grade service architecture/solution Programming Languages/Frameworks - Experience in Python, shell scripting is a must have. Go experience is a plus Data Engineering Skills - Understanding of building data pipelines for data transformation using big data tools like Hadoop and Spark/Kafka for batch and streaming processing of data. - Understanding and experience of SQL query language and working with relational databases. - Understanding of NoSQL database types and understanding of their disparate application scenarios Data Science skills - Excellent understanding and experience of deploying Large Language Models in a containerized environment - Knowledge of overall Generative AI landscape and concepts. - Knowledge of basic statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and tabular predictive modelling techniques and concepts. The Role The Senior Customer Solutions Engineer is responsible for delivering end‑to‑end solutions for customer orders by engineering the required wavelength and Ethernet capacity to meet all technical and service requirements. This role focuses on interpreting customer order specifications and collaborating across internal teams to develop and execute plans that resolve network capacity needs on wavelength transport networks. Location This is a work from home positoin within the U.S. The Main Responsibilities - Performs detailed and complex solutioning for Wavelength and Ethernet customer orders. - Triggers projects utilizing the most feasible, practical and economical means. - Performs engineering work and applied research, development and design of new projects, to include design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of equipment and devices. - Skilled in planning and/or engineering. - Analyzes complex Wavelength and Ethernet transport network systems and/or customer network environment, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices. - Must be capable of handling moderately complex engineering assignments. - Resolves difficult interoperability problems to obtain operation across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like. - Configures systems to user environments. - Supports acquisition and implementation of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services. - May act as a mentor or provide work leadership for lower level employees. - Requires limited direction and guidance.
