As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work on high-profile projects transforming manual data processes into automated, cloud-based solutions that serve millions of beneficiaries. You will collaborate with government stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure timely, accurate, and secure data delivery. This fully remote role emphasizes collaboration, technical excellence, and meaningful social impact. - Design, write, and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and transform large Medicaid datasets. - Translate policy requirements and business rules into efficient, testable data pipelines and transformations. - Develop and implement data quality assurance mechanisms to ensure the accuracy and integrity of sensitive PHI data. - Collaborate with data engineers to build, test, and deploy automated data pipelines within cloud-based platforms. - Work with business analysts and stakeholders to document, refine, and meet project data requirements. - Generate reporting and analytical outputs that provide insights for program management and decision-making. - Ensure compliance with government data standards, security protocols, and privacy regulations throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications - Minimum of 6 years of experience as a data scientist or in a similar data-focused role. - Expert-level proficiency in SQL and strong programming skills in Python. - Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and modern cloud-based data platforms. - Ability to translate complex policy requirements into accurate and efficient data transformations. - Experience with data validation, integrity checks, and managing sensitive healthcare datasets. - Prior exposure to healthcare, CMS, or state Medicaid data is a strong plus. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality. - U.S. citizenship required; must perform all work within the United States and able to pass a public trust background check. Job Requirements
