Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first Assignment: Technology Strategy, Operations, and Enterprise Capabilities The Lead, Technology Solutions role devises an effective strategy for executing and delivering on IT business initiatives. This role works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial, acts as a liaison and collaborates with the stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic enablement solutions. The role advises executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action. You will: - Establish governance for ongoing cost reduction opportunities across the Technology Strategy, Operations, and Enterprise Capabilities (TechStrat) organization within IT. - Execute on Outcomes as determined by Senior Leadership for technology cost reduction opportunities - Drive targets (default if necessary) for Price and/or Quantity optimization - Overall proactive program coordination across all cost efficiency opportunities in TechStrat - Provide direction and coordination to cost managers across VP organizations and set expectations - Track & report progress on cost reduction opportunities across each team (KPIs, reductions) - Partner with the Cost Transparency team and coordinate with the IT Productivity Office - Review various financial data from different systems to provide analysis and potential opportunities to Senior Leadership - Support spending and/or savings decisions across operations and project portfolios and ensure that performance is managed dynamically to reflect changes in strategy and objectives to optimize the value of the company’s spending. - Support the process of Long-Term Planning and facilitate communication and feedback with stakeholders - Support the annual technology strategy and budget planning calendar process that is in synch with the corporate budgeting process, enabling multiple technology teams to plan together - Participate in cost modeling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and trade-off exercises. - Stay educated on the latest cost optimization strategies and technologies; gather insights, develop new opinions and strategies around optimization and present solutions to leadership. - Assess issues, risks and opportunities and apply escalation criteria when needed Use your skills to make an impact Role Essentials - Bachelor’s degree required in IT, Business, Finance or a related field or equivalent experience - Possess 10+ years of progressive experience leading continuous improvement efforts, evaluating existing systems and implementing process and optimization improvements. - Possess 5+ years of experience in IT Financial Management - analyzing and reporting budget vs. actuals, developing Unit Costing and cost allocations to Towers, Applications and Business Services - Experience with Bill of IT to Business and IT Benchmarking costs/services versus peers and/or industry trends - Ability to connect technology investments to measurable business value or run-rate efficiency improvements - Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders - Advanced experience producing financial analysis, metrics, measurements and trend reports - Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail - Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports - Be a self-starter and be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Role Desirables - Master’s Degree in IT, Business, Finance or a related field or equivalent experience - 10+years of experience in Project, Program or Portfolio management - Experience with Apptio, ServiceNow, LeanIX, Azure DevOps, Jira Align a plus - Understanding of IT spend across Run, Grow and Transform - Experience working directly with senior leadership - Agile SAFe Certification - Related Certifications such as Six Sigma - Possess a solid understanding of operations, technology, communications and processes Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours 40 Pay Range The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $117,600 - $161,700 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
