Role Description The People/HR Analytics Consultant leads the development of analytics and operational improvement capabilities that optimize HR service delivery, workforce planning, and employee outcomes. This role identifies systemic blockers, diagnoses operational inefficiencies, and implements improved processes, standards, and service models. The consultant translates workforce signals into actionable insights that improve service quality, operational efficiency, employee experience, and cost management. Responsibilities - Workforce Analytics & Intelligence - Develop analytics models and dashboards identifying operational inefficiencies, workforce risks, and service demand across HR programs including Learning & Development, Employee Relations, Benefits, Leave, and HRIS. - Establish KPI frameworks to measure case volume, service cycle times, SLA performance, and operational workload. - Forecast workforce and service demand to support proactive staffing and resource planning. - Operational Diagnostics & Process Improvement - Identify systemic blockers, service breakdowns, and operational inefficiencies across HR programs. - Conduct root cause analysis and lead operational improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce service delays. - Recommend improvements to staffing models, service delivery channels, and automation opportunities. - SOP Development & Service Standardization - Design and implement standardized operating procedures (SOPs), playbooks, and governance frameworks across HR services. - Establish service standards for case intake, prioritization, escalation management, and documentation. - Ensure operational processes support compliance, consistency, and scalable service delivery. - Resource Optimization & Capacity Planning - Develop capacity and staffing models aligning service demand with appropriate staffing levels and skill mix. - Support cross-training and surge capacity planning to maintain service performance during periods of high demand. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with People & Culture, Benefits, Talent, Finance, and Operations leaders to align workforce insights with operational strategy. - Communicate analytics and operational insights to leadership to support data-driven decision making. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Data Analytics, Organizational Development, Industrial/Systems Engineering, or related field. - 8+ years of experience in people analytics, HR operations, workforce planning, operational excellence, or process improvement. - Experience building analytics models for demand forecasting, capacity planning, or service optimization. - Strong analytical and reporting skills using Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, or similar platforms. - Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders. Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree (MBA, Data Science, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or related field). - Experience with HRIS or case management systems (Workday, ServiceNow, ADP). - Knowledge of HR compliance frameworks including ADA, FMLA, and employment regulations. - Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. - Professional certifications such as SHRM-SCP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma.
