Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Product Engineer to join our team, working directly with the Engineering Department and focusing on 3D assembly modeling of refrigerant and cooled water piping systems within machines with the use of Solidworks. We are looking for someone who can create 3D models from a mechanical system schematic, add and track the properties of the assembly components through the lifecycle of the product, and create assembly, part, and installation documents. The candidate must be familiar with refrigerant and cooled water distribution systems and their respective components as it relates conveying fluid through equipment and ultimately through a data center. Experience with HVAC systems and sheet metal is a plus. The candidate must be well versed in Solidworks as it relates to creating piping assemblies and documents to fabricate these assemblies. • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process engineers, graduate engineers, and designers; lead process design discipline in multi-disciplinary teams; and manage technical inputs from specialist suppliers and sub-contractors. • Plan workload autonomously across project lifecycles from bidding to execution, managing multiple complex projects (£20k to £50m+) with competing deadlines while providing expert design leadership that directly impacts business wins. • Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences using varied methods, drafting compelling proposals and reports, and presenting confidently at all levels from technical reviews to client executive meetings. • Establish and own technical relationships with customers during bidding phases, acting as key interface between internal teams and external clients through frequent engagement (daily internal, weekly+ external contact). • Build Veolia's reputation as a 'Water Technical Expert' by delivering innovative, cost-effective solutions, leading technical workshops and negotiations, and representing the company at industry events. • Embed sustainability principles into all process designs, optimising for energy, chemical usage, and resource recovery while quantifying environmental benefits to align with Veolia's Depollution, Decarbonising, and Water Stewardship goals.
