Strategic Accounts Manager – Utility Solutions

• Lead and execute a regional sales strategy tailored to the unique needs of IOUs, cooperatives, and municipal utilities across the Midwest and Northeast • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within strategic utility accounts • Own and grow a portfolio of high-value, strategically important accounts while identifying and developing new regional opportunities • Partner closely with internal inside sales teams to support day-to-day execution, including ensuring RFPs, bids, and customer requests are responded to accurately, competitively, and in a timely manner • Provide guidance and market context to inside sales teams to help prioritize opportunities and improve response quality and speed, without direct supervisory responsibility • Partner with internal engineering, sourcing, and manufacturer partners to ensure Paige product specifications align with current and future utility standards and customer requirements • Provide market-driven input on product development, specification updates, and sourcing strategies to support utility growth initiatives • Identify gaps in current utility offerings and help define value-added solutions that differentiate Paige in the market • Serve as a regional subject-matter leader by deepening market and product knowledge and sharing insights with internal sales teams • Act as a conduit between the customer and Paige, ensuring customer strategies, challenges, standards, and future-state plans are clearly understood and communicated internally • Drive long-term account planning, including understanding customer business performance, competitive landscape, and upcoming initiatives • Partner cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution, exceptional service, and alignment across sales, operations, and supply chain • Identify and cultivate new strategic partnerships that support regional and company-wide growth objectives • Mentor and support other sales team members by sharing best practices, market intelligence, and customer insights • Serve as a key voice of the customer for the Utilities market, influencing product direction, sourcing decisions, and long-term solution strategy
Job Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in technical sales specifically focused on the utilities market; previous experience specifically focused on sale of wire and cable product strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field; relevant experience considered considered in lieu of degree
- Driver’s License with clean driving record (required)
- Knowledge of sales principles, tactics, and strategies
- High degree of professionalism, dependability, self-direction, and time management
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present information and sell products and services in a highly competitive environment
- Ability to organize and balance multiple priorities
- Ability to travel up to 60%
