Role Description The Retail Analyst is a key member of the Data Quality and Insights team responsible for validating and ensuring the accuracy of automotive retail dealership data within the Power Information Network (PIN). This data serves as the foundation for critical products, analytics, and services delivered to automotive manufacturers, retail dealerships, financial institutions, government agencies, and authorized data partners. The analyst plays a vital role in maintaining data integrity, supporting operational excellence, and enhancing the value and reliability of PIN’s data assets. What You’ll Be Doing in This Role - Analysis of dealership transactional data - Calculate and verify financial information using transmitted data elements - Look for data element population trends - Compile list of concerns regarding questionable data - Periodically engage with dealership accounting personnel to confirm that our results match theirs - Use of Microsoft Excel analytical tools, SQL queries, AIC queries, custom query tools, and SalesForce CRM - Logging of dealership “status” - Addition of summaries to PIN retailer databases - Perform quality checks on samples from retailer reports - As received from Customer Care team, perform data analysis investigations - Coordinate with Customer Care team to communicate investigation results to retailer clients Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: - Automotive Sales Accounting - Automotive Finance & Insurance (F&I) - Automotive Data or Analytics - Associate degree (AA) or higher, or equivalent professional experience - Demonstrated expertise in automotive accounting, F&I operations, or automotive data analysis - Ability to work remotely while effectively collaborating with a team to resolve data‑related issues - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities for working with both technical and functional users - Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Microsoft Office Suite Requirements - Natural curiosity and love for working with data - Thrives on solving complex problems and collaborating with dealership personnel - Comfortable operating independently and taking ownership of their work Benefits - Starting hourly rate of $28 - Pay determined by relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location Company Description J.D. Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Automotive Sales Accounting Automotive Finance & Insurance (F&I) Automotive Data or Analytics
