Position Purpose: Manages the overall data platform and infrastructure and mentors the team of data engineers. Supports developing processes, and expanding technology roadmap, planning features, measuring outputs, and ensuring quality products. They will also derive analytical insights from a variety of business contexts and communicate those insights effectively to a variety of stakeholders. - Manages design and development of software and processes to support large scale, efficient data pipelines and optimizes the availability of data to generate insights and address business needs - Translates technical business goals and requirements into designs utilizing best practice design patterns and partner with engineering leads, product managers, and design leads in shaping and guiding the technical direction for the data engineering team - Manages the planning, prioritization and execution of data production projects and processes and the activities of team of data engineers responsible for developing software code that formats, tags, processes, stores and delivers data - Develops the standards and processes required to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products - Participates in code reviews and help lead technical discussions, accountable for the maintenance of agile processes and ceremonies for the data team - Manages and oversees the automation of key ETL / ELT (Extract / Transform / Load) and quality assurance (in collaboration with quality engineering team) processes for large volumes of data and migrations of workloads - Performs and monitors data governance, data quality, integrity, standards, master data management, metadata strategy, and business intelligence/analytics - Contributes to decisions on key technology choices for data pipelines to ensure that they are scalable, repeatable, secure, and can serve users at scale in the organization - Allocates available resources to meet operating objectives and provides team leadership, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace - Performs other duties as assigned - Complies with all policies and standards Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience. Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position. Technical Skills: - One or more of the following skills are desired. - - AWS - Snowflake - Python Pay Range: $102,900.00 - $190,500.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including: competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status.
