Role Description This person will take ownership of accounts payable and financial process management across corporate and property-level entities. You will work directly with the principals and a small internal team while coordinating with external accountants and third-party property managers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys operational ownership, building clean financial processes, and ensuring that every dollar across a real estate portfolio is accurately tracked. Duties and responsibilities: - Accounts Payable Ownership - Manage the full lifecycle of accounts payable across corporate entities and operating companies - Process and verify invoices from vendors, service providers, and property managers - Track and manage subscription renewals and recurring expenses - Coordinate payment approvals and ensure timely disbursements - Vendor & Expense Management - Maintain relationships with vendors and service providers - Ensure accurate documentation and invoice approvals - Maintain organized records of vendor contracts and payment schedules - Property & Fund-Level Reconciliations - Assist with reconciliation of financials coming from third-party property management firms - Identify discrepancies between property management reports and internal records - Support the preparation of financial summaries used internally and for investors - Accounting Coordination - Work closely with an external accounting resource - Help prepare clean data and documentation for month-end and quarterly reporting - Support improvements in internal financial processes as the firm grows - Process & System Development - Help create scalable processes for AP and financial tracking - Improve documentation and internal financial workflows Qualifications - 4–8+ years of accounting experience - Background in real estate, private equity, or property accounting - Experience managing accounts payable and vendor payments - Exposure to property management financial reporting - Strong organizational and documentation habits - Excellent written communication skills Requirements - The team is looking for someone who can step into the role and operate independently from day one. Preferred Background - Big Four accounting training followed by industry experience, OR - Accounting experience at a real estate investment firm, property operator, or real estate PE firm
