• Directly manage, coach, and develop one or more SEO Specialists, providing ongoing guidance on strategy, prioritization, and craft • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and skills assessments to support team growth and accountability • Assign workloads across team members aligned to client scope, complexity, and bandwidth • Establish team standards for documentation, reporting, and quality assurance across all deliverables • Foster a high-performance culture rooted in data-driven decision making and continuous improvement • Own the strategic roadmap for all assigned client SEO programs, from initial audit through ongoing optimization • Translate contract scope into phased, sprint-based execution plans with clear milestones and team responsibilities • Review and approve SEO strategies, briefs, and deliverables produced by SEO Specialists before client delivery • Lead strategic client conversations and serve as an escalation point for complex program challenges • Maintain cross-program visibility into execution tracking, risk logs, and performance dashboards • Guide team in architecting entity-first content structures aligned to schema best practices • Oversee deployment of JSON-LD structured data across service, provider, and location templates • Ensure AI summary-ready content sections — including definitive explainers and FAQ blocks — meet quality standards • Monitor emerging trends in AI-generated search and translate them into actionable team practices • Set strategy and quality standards for Google Business Profile management at scale across client portfolios • Guide Specialists on category optimization, appointment URL strategy, Q&A management, and review workflows • Oversee citation audit processes and directory submission programs to ensure NAP consistency • Track and report on local pack ranking improvements and map visibility across all locations • Develop and refine AI-powered keyword cluster frameworks spanning symptom, condition, and service intent • Review competitor gap analyses and identify high-priority ranking opportunities across the client portfolio • Ensure People Also Ask mining and structured Q&A integration is consistently applied across team deliverables • Align organic strategy with paid search messaging and coordinate with cross-functional marketing stakeholders • Review and provide strategic direction on full crawl audits covering indexation, canonicalization, sitemaps, and internal linking • Guide team execution of Core Web Vitals improvements including INP, LCP, and CLS optimization • Validate schema markup implementation quality across client templates • Serve as technical escalation resource for complex issues encountered by SEO Specialists • Establish baseline performance metrics across all programs and track sprint-based progress at the team level • Review and approve weekly summaries and monthly executive reports before delivery to clients • Present program performance and strategic recommendations directly to senior client stakeholders • Identify ranking acceleration opportunities (positions 5–20) and ensure team is actioning them consistently • Report on organic sessions, non-brand growth, keyword rankings, local visibility, and conversion attribution

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of advanced SEO experience, with at least 2 years in a team lead or management capacity
  • Demonstrated experience managing and mentoring SEO professionals in an agency or in-house environment
  • Proven track record managing multi-location local SEO programs at enterprise scale
  • Strong technical SEO expertise including crawl analysis, schema deployment, and Core Web Vitals optimization
  • Hands-on experience with AI-driven keyword clustering and generative search optimization
  • Experience managing Google Business Profiles at scale
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for high-volume keyword and location management
  • Expertise in tools such as SEMrush, Google Search Console, GA4, and Looker Studio
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and executive stakeholder communication skills
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with healthcare organizations or regulated industries
  • Healthcare SEO knowledge including E-E-A-T principles and trust signals in compliance-sensitive content
  • Familiarity with server-side tagging and advanced attribution frameworks
  • Experience leading sprint-based SEO programs with structured milestone reporting
  • Prior experience scaling a team or building out SEO processes from the ground up
