We are based in Northern California, with several other offices in the United States and around the world.  Job Description  As a Project Manager on the Terabase SCADA Operations team, you will report to the Sr. Operations Manager and work closely with a team of project managers, engineers, procurement specialists, and support staff. The SCADA Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) projects from initiation to completion. This role involves close collaboration with engineering, technical teams, customers, and various stakeholders to ensure that SCADA systems are implemented, tested, and delivered effectively and efficiently within scope, time, and budget constraints. The SCADA Project Manager will also lead project planning, manage the project budget & schedule, resource allocation requirements, perform risk management, and be the lead for customer communications to enable successful project delivery. Your scope includes managing a portfolio of projects for key customers which involves regular interface through weekly meetings and project site visits and developing customized deliverables such as weekly & monthly progress reports. You should demonstrate a meticulous approach to tasks, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work, from data entry to project execution, to maintain high-quality standards and minimize errors.    Responsibilities Daily Project Operations - Customer Engagement: Support customer engagements, from booking to delivery, demonstrating operational excellence resulting in delighted customers. - Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans that define scope, schedule, budget, and resources. Manage project lifecycle stages from initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. - Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal teams, facilitating clear and effective communication throughout project phases and managing stakeholder expectations. - Project Controls: Monitor and control project costs & schedules to ensure projects are delivered per budgetary constraints and on-time per project milestones. Prepare cost estimates, track expenses, and work with finance teams to report on financial status. - Quality Control: Ensure that all project deliverables meet quality standards, are free from errors, and delivered in a timely manner per customer contract service level agreements. Oversee development and delivery customer deliverables, addressing issues and ensuring performance requirements are met. - Compliance and Standards: Ensure all projects adhere to the appropriate regulatory guidelines, industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. Work with stakeholders and technical teams to maintain regulatory requirements. - Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, progress reports, and change orders. Report regularly to senior management on project status, risks, and issues. - Team Coordination: Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives. Provide direction, delegate tasks, and facilitate collaboration. - Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact. Adjust project plans as necessary to respond to changes and address risks. Process Improvement - Identify and address gaps in processes and procedures, resulting in improved, streamlined workflows. - Collaborate with other departments on operational requirements needed to meet customer deliverables and departmental priorities. Customer Success - Serve as the face of Terabase for a portfolio of projects of key customers and manage their experience throughout the life of the engagement.  - Work in partnership with the sales team to provide expanded services and support organic growth within existing accounts. - Act as a voice of the customer by representing their perspectives and interests in areas such as product roadmap, technical support, quality, etc. - Maintain the relationship to enable effective & active communication and a collaborative environment with the customer team to manage a variety of situations including conflict resolution, addressing complex & technical topics, and understanding when to seek leadership support to ensure the customer receives the proper level of care. - Perform and deliver a customer-centric experience ensuring every aspect of the project is managed such that Terabase becomes an extension of the customer’s project management team.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, energy, or related field.
  • 3+ years experience working as a project or operations manager in the solar or renewable energy industry, heavy construction, or aerospace industry
  • Excellent time management and ability to execute multiple projects across multiple customer relationships simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, customer relationship skills, and ability to communicate effectively and interact within a team environment.
  • Advanced or expert skill level in MS Suite of software (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience working with basic project management tools and platforms such as MS Project, JIRA, and other Atlassian tools such as Confluence.
  • Experience working with a small team and working with remotely distributed contractors.
  • Willing to work in Hybrid (Home/Office) setup and work with minimal supervision.
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, primarily US-based project sites
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience working with advanced project management tools and platforms such Cora, Wrike, Kantana, Project Insight, Primavera P6, etc..
  • Experience and knowledge of PV plant components such as PV modules, trackers, inverters, HV systems, Wind, and BESS (battery energy storage systems) is a plus.
  • Experience working with SCADA systems, grid controllers, and weather measurement stations.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP
  • Familiar with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.

  • This role offers a base salary of $114,000 – $140,000 (DOE)

Role Description As a Project Engineer on Rondo’s Delivery Team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination, communication, and execution of Rondo’s large-scale thermal energy storage projects. You will work closely with Rondo Project Managers, focusing on technology development, operations, supply chain, and deployment of the product. This role is crucial for stitching together the deliverables, capacities, timelines, dependencies, risks, mitigation strategies, and stakeholders of the technology development and operations teams. You will be a linchpin in deploying Rondo’s technology – and in accelerating industrial decarbonization. - Technical Project Management: Coordinate with Rondo commercial and engineering teams to implement and manage early stage engineering studies, including resource allocation, schedule development, site visits, client collaboration, technical deliverable development, and cost estimating. - Technical Execution Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of a project’s technical execution, ensuring the resulting design aligns with specifications and meets quality standards for each deployment of the product. - Engineering Deliverables: Generate preliminary mechanical or process engineering deliverables to assist with early-stage process design, mechanical equipment sizing, creation of data sheets and specifications for communication with clients and vendors, and support technical bid evaluations and contracting. - Quality Assurance: Review project and mechanical/process deliverables created by Rondo or third parties to ensure project specifications and client needs are addressed, while screening for technical accuracy. - Communication: Collaborate closely with Rondo Project Managers, other Project Engineers, Engineers, clients and customers, vendors and other equipment suppliers, regulatory bodies, and third-party contractors (EPC and other contractors, OEs, IEs, etc.). Communicate clearly and concisely with the ability to distill complex technical subjects into plain language. - Reporting: Track and report progress on technical and commercial project deliverables to key Rondo stakeholders, clients, or external parties. - Compliance: Identify applicable project permits, research submission requirements, and coordinate the development of associated technical deliverables on a timeline that supports project implementation. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or industrial/systems engineering. - Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering or project engineering. - Extensive knowledge and experience in project development and delivery of large-scale capital energy/power/infrastructure projects. - Technical skills to perform engineering & design of supporting infrastructure typical in large-scale industrial projects with little oversight. - Proven track record of successfully delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget. - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Experience with engineering & design software such as CAD, MS Project.
