Senior Project Manager

JBS Dev

JBS is currently looking for a technical Senior Project Manager. This role will work closely with clients and internal departments to ensure successful deployments of solutions on time and within scope. Our ideal candidate should feel comfortable being a team lead and be familiar with microservices best practices. This role will be working in an agile and highly detail-oriented environment with a mixed team of both JBS engineers and our client’s engineering team. The Project Manager supports the entire project lifecycle, including pre-sales solution design and definition, project implementation, system configuration, transition to Support, and project documentation and closure. This position is a full-time role. We are 100% remote but candidates must reside and be authorized to work in the US. Responsibilities - Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the internal team to ensure alignment on project objectives, timelines and deliverables. - Engage with clients and prospects in pre-sales efforts to scope solutions and clearly document professional service requests based on product capabilities. - Monitor and maintain key project dates and deadlines, ensuring all team members are well-informed and aware of responsibilities. - Facilitate meetings while providing agendas and clearly communicating outcomes and action items. - Employ proactive communication strategies to address any potential roadblocks or delays, fostering a culture of accountability and adherence to project timelines. - Proactively manage changes in project scope, identifying risks, and assisting in devising contingency plans. - Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and provide feedback to the Delivery team. Required - 6+ years of project management experience, including leading Agile projects and working within Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum or Kanban). - Strong technical understanding and familiarity with software development concepts, enabling effective communication with engineering teams and comprehension of complex technical discussions. - Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and manage the complexities inherent in custom software projects - no two engagements at JBS are exactly the same. - Deeper understanding of Agile and Scrum principles, beyond basic terminology. Must be able to apply these practices pragmatically to drive successful delivery. - Excellent organizational skills and time management abilities. - Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with a high level of follow-up and follow-through. - Demonstrated ability to multitask, set priorities and clarify priorities when uncertainty exists. - Experience interfacing with external customers at all levels and driving customer meetings. - Experience as part of a cohesive team in which technical resources are shared across multiple projects. - Ability to compile technical requirements and implementation details clearly and concisely into a customer-facing document. - Attention to detail in documenting effort estimates, technical requirements, and project dates. - Confidence to work under pressure, communicate effectively with customers and drive team members to committed dates. - Ability to manage expectations and professionally solve disputes or conflicts. - Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technology. - Demonstrated ability in applying project management discipline and structure within an evolving organization. Nice to Have - Scrum Master or Agile certification (CSM or PMI-ACP, etc.). - Experience in coaching and leading Agile transformation efforts. - Experience working cross functionally, being the liaison between multiple teams. - Software development background. We offer a base salary range of $100,000 - 135,000, commensurate with years of experience, technical expertise, and overall qualifications.
