Managing Director – Network Operations Group

• Responsible for building, launching, and scaling a high-growth NOC line of business. • Drive business development from lead generation to deal closure. • Manage hybrid global operations (onshore/offshore). • Champion the creation of new, market-disrupting service offerings. • Define the vision and roadmap for new NOC service offerings. • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and client feedback loops. • Lead agile development cycles for new service features and operational enhancements. • Manage and execute POCs with lighthouse customers. • Drive the selection and implementation of new, cutting-edge monitoring and automation technologies. • Achieve assigned sales targets and increasing the annual recurring revenue (ARR). • Build and manage a robust sales pipeline in collaboration with core sales and marketing teams. • Lead the technical and operational response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs). • Provide expert technical support during the sales cycle. • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing, agile teams (onshore/offshore).

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in network operations or managed services, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, business development, or pre-sales engineering related to IT services or managed services is essential.
  • Experience managing global or geographically dispersed teams (onshore/offshore).
  • Experience in a startup, greenfield project, or new product launch environment is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently as well as on a multi-functional team.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, infrastructure (LAN/WAN), security concepts, and monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies like AIOps, cloud monitoring, and automation scripting.

Role Description The Riverside County Information Technology, Network Operations Unit is seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented Network Operations Engineer to join their team in Riverside. The Network Operations Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of the organization's enterprise and public safety network infrastructure. - Monitor network performance, measure resource availability and capacity on a scheduled basis. - Respond to and resolve network issues through root cause analysis and resolution tracking. - Provide diagnosis across layer 1 to layer 3 in the event of a network outage. - Initiate corrective actions and communicate updates to stakeholders and customers as needed. - Configure, install, and maintain enterprise-grade hardware, including: - Cisco routers and switches - Aruba switches and wireless access points - Ciena routers - Clearpass - CradlePoint cellular routers - Fortinet Firewalls - Palo Alto firewalls - Use tools such as NetBrain, SolarWinds, Panorama, and Aruba Central. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams based on incoming support tickets and special projects.
