Job Description: Receiving - Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. - Check shipping documents (e.g., packing slips, invoices) against purchase orders to confirm receipt. - Properly label and store incoming materials in designated areas. - Communicate discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate department and assist in resolving issues. Shipping - Prepare finished goods for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and documentation. - Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure products meet customer specifications before shipping. - Schedule and manage shipments with carriers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. - Generate and maintain accurate shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels. Inventory Management - Maintain accurate records of stock levels and track material movement in the warehouse. - Conduct regular cycle counts and report discrepancies to the inventory team. - Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse layout. Equipment and Safety - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. - Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of materials. - Report any equipment malfunctions or workplace hazards to the supervisor. Communication and Coordination - Liaise with vendors, customers, and internal departments to coordinate shipments and deliveries. - Provide shipping updates to the operations team and customers as needed. - Assist with special projects and urgent shipping or receiving requests. This is a long-term opportunity on a federally funded contract. - Review incoming FOIA/PA requests to locate responsive documentation within acquisition files. - Propose appropriate redactions in accordance with FOIA exemptions, statutes, and agency regulations. - Prepare draft responses to appeals, fee waivers, and litigation-related documents for Government review. - Coordinate timely responses to Congressional inquiries and public requests for acquisition-related information. - Maintain and update FOIA tracking databases, ensuring accurate records of all requests. - Safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and handle sensitive records in compliance with federal law and DHS policy. - Alert Government personnel to potentially controversial requests requiring special coordination. - Assist in developing and updating agency FOIA guidance and procedural documents. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university. A degree in Business, Information Management, Contracting, or Law is preferred. - Minimum of four (4) years of documented experience as a FOIA Specialist, Paralegal, or in a similar role involving federal transparency laws. - In lieu of a degree, six (6) years of relevant federal procurement or private-sector transparency experience will be considered. - Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FOIA, and Privacy Act. - Proven experience reviewing contract files or government documentation. - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and organizational abilities. - High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Requirements - Experience working within DHS or another federal law enforcement agency. - Experience managing procurement-sensitive or law enforcement-sensitive information. - Knowledge of government contract-writing systems (e.g., PRISM).
