Position summary As Lead FP&A Analyst, you will play a critical role in owning and managing the corporate budgets, consolidation, and reporting for the company. You will work closely with the finance and accounting team, department VPs and directors, and leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, actionable insights, and the effective management of financial resources. You will serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) bridging finance operations and technology, ensuring the platform is fully tailored to the unique demands of government contracting—including compliance with FAR/DFARS cost principles, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate management. What you'll do Financial Systems - Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive) - Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday Adaptive Planning, including system design, configuration, UAT, data migration, and go-live support - Maintain integration workflows between Adaptive and ERP systems (Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar GovCon ERP) - Serve as primary system administrator: manage user roles, permissions, model maintenance, and platform upgrades - Build and publish dashboards, management reports, and board-level financial packages within Adaptive - Maintain documentation and build training materials for additional power users and end users Financial Planning & Analysis - Support the program finance team in forecasting and consolidating - Support the annual budgeting process, and monthly reforecasting ranging from revenue (T&M, FP, CPFF) to operating expense by department - Perform variance analysis (actuals vs. budget vs forecast) and deliver actionable insights to leadership and program managers - Support sales pipeline reconciliation and revenue recognition (ASC 606) modeling - Partner with the program finance team and the contracts to model contract modification, option year extension and any new award scenarios - Build and maintain KPI reporting Business Partnering & Reporting - Preparing executive presentation materials, assisting with company and project leadership briefings, and performing on ad-hoc reporting and analysis - Developing and providing monthly financial reports to department directors, VP, and company executives - Coordinating with practice leadership and stakeholders to ensure internal project execution is consistent with budget plans and coordinated with program sponsors as needed. Required skills - Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field or equivalent experience - 4+ years of finance and accounting experience, preferably with growing professional services companies - Workday Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights) — implementation or advanced administration experience - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced modeling, pivot tables, macros), Google Sheets, pricing software, and financial analysis tools -
