About the Role The Software Test Engineer is responsible for executing and supporting structured software testing processes across projects and system enhancements. This role performs technical-based testing activities, contributes to project delivery, and collaborates closely with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to validate requirements and ensure release readiness. This position requires strong experience in manual and automation testing, defect lifecycle management, and test case development. The ideal candidate leverages prior knowledge and expertise to solve problems, works independently with moderate guidance, and impacts team performance through quality execution and attention to detail. Responsibilities - Reviewing test cases created by test analysts and providing feedback or applying necessary updates - Analyzing business requirements and coordinating with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts - Identifying test conditions and creating detailed test cases - Conducting and participating in peer reviews of test cases and test plans - Creating and conditioning test data for execution - Executing manual and automation tests according to approved test plans - Documenting test results and reporting defects accurately - Evaluating test outcomes and validating system functionality - Retesting, validating, and closing defects as appropriate - Validating release notes prior to deployment - Submitting daily status reports and providing testing updates - Identifying, documenting, and reporting risks - Coordinating with onshore and offshore teams - Managing day-to-day implementation of the GTS testing process - Completing assigned technical or domain learning within defined timeframes - Complying with all company policies and standards Requirements - Bachelor’s degree required - Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing - Apply strong experience in test case creation and review - Analyze business requirements and collaborate effectively with stakeholders - Execute manual and automation testing aligned with structured test plans - Manage defect documentation and support full defect lifecycle resolution - Identify and escalate risks in a timely manner - Communicate complex information clearly and effectively - Work independently while meeting deadlines and quality standards - Provide guidance to junior team members when needed Flexible Working At Conduent, we value individuality and flexible working arrangements. • Apply your programming skills towards automating and optimizing the testing of cloud-based applications • Contribute to the automation test framework and automation architecture • Create and improve testing-related documentation including test plans, test cases, and automation scripts • Conduct QA tests and verify outcomes • Collaborate and contribute to state-of-the-art automation framework and cloud-based test infrastructure that can operate at scale with 24/7 availability • Diagnose, debug, and fix issues in a cloud-based automation environment

• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies for GenAI features, including conversational AI, agentic systems, and LLM-powered workflows • Develop automated test suites for prompt testing, including regression tests that detect unintended changes in model behaviour • Create evaluation frameworks to measure GenAI quality across multiple dimensions (accuracy, relevance, safety, consistency, latency) • Build and maintain test datasets and golden examples that represent diverse user scenarios and edge cases • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to detect quality degradation in production GenAI features • Perform adversarial testing to identify potential failures, hallucinations, biases, or security vulnerabilities in AI systems • Collaborate with engineers to define acceptance criteria and quality gates for AI feature releases • Develop tools and frameworks that make it easy for engineers to test their GenAI implementations • Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback on AI feature performance from internal users • Document testing procedures, known issues, and quality metrics in clear, accessible formats • Partner with Product and Design teams to ensure AI features meet user experience standards • Stay current with GenAI testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices

• Architect, deploy, and operate automated test frameworks for distributed systems • Develop integration, regression, and performance test suites for REST APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven components • Compose CI/CD pipeline tools verifying functionality, reliability, and service interactions across environments • Collaborate with developers to define microservice test strategies, fault-injection scenarios, resilience testing • Triage test results, root cause test failures, or performance drops and drive fixes • Drive continuous improvement of automation coverage, observability, and testing efficiency
