This role focuses on providing the best solutions through useful and accurate reporting and dashboards based on a thorough understanding of CDW data, systems, and reporting tools.   What you will do: - Report Generation: Create weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, and annual reports based on management requirements for content, frequency, and formatting. - Design standardized reporting formats for utilization within department, incorporating CDW system data and other practice specific requirements. - Perform ad-hoc reporting utilizing CDW reporting systems, based on manager and team needs. - Interact with business stakeholders to help identify and develop new reports or updates to existing reports which will enable the business to take a deeper look at data and increase productivity. - Troubleshoot and improve existing reporting and data solutions. - Implement and maintain testing processes to ensure data quality in reporting. - Perform analysis of data being shared and design solutions using best practices. - Lend expertise to others in the department as necessary to help resolve process or reporting issues. - Design and develop reporting and analytics to support the key internal clients. - Document and maintain Standard Operating Procedures as required. What we expect of you: - Bachelor’s degree in business, plus 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel advanced functions to include: formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation, OR 7 years of experience with Microsoft Excel advanced functions to include: formulas, V-lookups, pivot tables, and data manipulation. - Experience with VBA, and/or Excel to develop analytical customer solutions. - Experience with MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). - Applicants should demonstrate solid attention to detail with a penchant for accuracy. - Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and completeness in reporting. - Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal customers. - Strong customer focus – committed to building and maintaining strong working relationships with management and staff. - Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines, especially in a fast-paced environment. - Adaptable, dependable, and proactive in determining managers’ needs. - Excellent analytical skills. This role involves identifying and organizing new datasets that can enhance the accuracy of our wildfire risk ratings, including sourcing information that is not readily available. The intern will structure these datasets for integration into our production workflows and help identify opportunities to incorporate AI tools into the data preparation process. What you will do: - You will find data sources that fill gaps in our existing model inputs – specifically nation-wide structure loss, electrical distribution lines, property attributes and other data sources that may be identified during the model rebuilding process - Once found, you will organize the datasets into formats that can be absorbed by the production process - You will be involved in planning meetings during which you will look for opportunities for AI tools to be used effectively - You will help the project manager with tasks as assigned.
