Microservices Engineer
Initiate Government Solutions, LLC.
• Oversee technical direction of 32 microservices across 6 agile teams • Participate in architecture and code reviews of Springboot and Ruby microservices as well as AWS Elastic Kubernetes YAML configurations • Advise on improvements to health and DORA monitors and metrics • Identify and recommend solutions to address scalability, reliability, and availability • Advise executives on strategic technology decisions related to microservices and team capacity • Oversee major deployments and high-risk secret key rotations • Oversee on-call operations
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering experience with a preference for Java, Spring Boot, and Ruby expertise
- Experience with DevOps including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and version control systems
- Experience operating in a 24/7 environment 99.999 SLA environment
- Experience with public-facing APIs
- Experience with complex backend data integrations
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Data Dog, Kibana
- Strong executive communication skills
