Implementation Specialist
Brown & Brown Insurance
• Create and configure new and existing client websites (using third party software), following established SOPs and best practices. • Assist less senior teammates with development low to moderate complexity sites. • Proficient at root cause analysis and serves as subject matter resource in client meetings, as needed. • Primarily responsible with final testing and auditing of own and less senior teammates’ work to ensure proper functioning, with oversight. • Accountable for individual quality assurance on low to moderate complexity builds. • Maintains working knowledge of health and benefits products, services and tools in order to appropriately configure and test software tools • Primarily responsible for providing training and mentorship of less senior teammates. • Works on moderate complexity (or greater) client projects. • Participation in client meetings as needed. • Provide direct and indirect (through teammate development) daily support to assigned clients and/or clients as directed. • Developing root cause analysis skills to provide direct daily support to assigned clients as directed. • Anticipates and responds to client support questions as assigned and works directly with clients. • Assist with education of clients’ HR administrators on benefits programs, legislation, and regulatory requirements, with respect to assigned software, with very limited oversight. • Assist with training clients’ HR administrators on assigned software, with very limited oversight. • Promote teamwork, support, knowledge sharing and a positive attitude in the department and office. • Promote a commitment to achieve or exceed internal and external performance standards both individually and through teammates. • Strong ability to interpret and follow SOPs and assist with providing guidance on the development of SOPs, and provide SOP process improvement considerations for primary platform. • Participate in training opportunities to remain current on industry information, new product development, legislation, coverages, and technology. • Follow department guidelines, policies and procedures, including professional development and continuing education required for valid licensing. • Assist with the documentation of renewal, sales, and insurance operations compliance documents into the sales management database. • Pursues a course of personal and professional development.
Job Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in the insurance, human resources, or financial sectors (preferred)
- Minimum education required: Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- 2-5 years of applicable software implementation experience
- Ability to readily learn and apply new information/concepts
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Experience working with personal computer database applications
- Exceptional telephone demeanor, professional approach to problem-solving
- Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to travel for work if requested (Less than 5% of the time)

Description: Title: RCM Specialist Reports to: Director of Revenue Cycle Management / Revenue Cycle Manager Department/Location: Remote FLSA Status: Exempt Travel Requirement: None Summary: The RCM Specialist, reporting to the Senior Director of RCM, will be responsible for all aspects of the claim cycle from verification of benefits, patient financial counseling, utilization review follow-up, front end billing, claim data integrity, and AR follow up. Responsibilities: - Verification of Benefits - Verify insurance eligibility and benefits prior to admission. Including deductible, co-insurance, copay, treatment restrictions, premium paid through dates, coordination of benefits completion, and in or out of network status. - Financial Counseling - Walk through insurance benefits with patients prior to admission. Go over and have them complete all applicable financial forms. Collect patient cost share. - Utilization Review Follow Up - Run a daily report on pending authorizations, call the insurance care managers to obtain the authorization details and input into KIPU EMR for visibility to RCM and clinical team members. Coordinate with therapists on any auth issues or other information needed by the insurance company. - Front End Billing / Charge Entry / Claim Data Integrity - Run the daily billing census report to identify and partner with appropriate team members to remove billing errors within the EMR. As we grow, front end billing / charge entry may be expected as a job duty. - AR Follow Up - Follow up on outstanding claims within insurance and patient AR until the outstanding claim has been resolved. Expectations are to resolve claims prior to timely filing, summarize claim issues, and work claims until resolution. - Compliance and Regulations - Stay informed on federal, state, and local billing regulations, as well as payer-specific requirements. - Ensure adherence to compliance standards such as HIPAA and Medicare/Medicaid requirements. - Report any compliance concerns or irregularities to the appropriate team or leadership. - Customer Service - Act as a liaison between patients, payers, and internal teams to address billing inquiries and resolve issues. - Provide exceptional service by explaining insurance benefits, payment responsibilities, and account balances to patients and families. - Data Management - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the revenue cycle management system and electronic health record (EHR). - Collaboration - Work closely with the Revenue Cycle Management team to identify areas for improvement and streamline processes. - Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure technology solutions effectively support revenue cycle operations.
